Over 100 Naxalite rebels and a mix of 200 supporters and general prison population staged a daring jailbreak in Chhattisgarh, central India, yesterday. Constitution image STOP and think for a moment! finn, Friday, Nov 16 2007, 4:38pm
It began long before George W Bush wiped his arse with the Bill of Rights and American Constitution. It finally dawned on me while I was writing the future of mankind on a toilet roll. The American Constitution that Bush treats with disdain and contempt, begins with the classic, “WE THE PEOPLE ..,” I must apologise for being slow if this observation is obvious to all -- but the common people had nothing whatsoever to do with encoding the principles set down in America’s most venerated State documents! Bush (as other leaders see him) at UN image Bush Makes Mockery of UN Declaration of Human Rights in NY Speech Matthew Rothschild via rialator, Wednesday, Sep 26 2007, 6:16pm
At his speech to the UN, Bush had the audacity to invoke the Universal Declaration of Human Rights several times, despite the fact that he’s been violating it over and over again. (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

The murdering, lying face of Rice image Myanmar: Condoleezza calls ‘kettle’ black dingo, Sunday, Sep 23 2007, 3:01pm
Give us all a break, Condi! Your ‘righteous’ indignation and feeble political fumbles in relation to Burma are hypocritical and transparent to the extreme. Ms Rice suddenly seems outraged over the treatment of the Burmese people by the military junta. “The Burmese people deserve better ... they deserve a life to be able to live in freedom … the brutality of this regime is well known and so we will be speaking about that, and I think the president will be speaking about it with many of his colleagues,” she said today. China made it clear that America’s record in Iraq -- one million dead civilians and four million displaced persons not mentioning the total ruin of a nation -- constitutes the most heinous crime of the century and leaves America in no position whatsoever to challenge other nations on moral or human rights issues. Italian Premier Iemma with George Bush image High pressure water cannon for APEC gan, Sunday, Aug 19 2007, 12:41pm
The NSW Premier, Morris ‘il Duce’ Iemma, has approved of the use of a dangerous high pressure water cannon for the APEC summit. This weapon has been known to blind by tearing eyeballs from skull sockets, but why let minor details like maiming the public interfere with a meeting of mass murderers, polluters and thieves, notwithstanding the assault on Australian values by an Italian fascist! Villagers display kidney scars image Laissez-faire Capitalism, Desensitisation and Moral Bankruptcy peptide, Wednesday, Jun 13 2007, 11:09pm
Two events in particular typify the modern age, the exploitation or rather the reduction of poor, exploited and victimised humans as body part suppliers -- kidneys in particular -- and the vacuous, worthless celebrity of a no-talent, mindless, American rich girl whose presence in the mass media is constant. While millions suffer injustices, tortures and hardships, Paris Hilton is served for mass consumption; coverage of the horrific trade in living human body parts is avoided for obvious and shameful reasons! hickssa.jpg image Hicks has Landed budgie, Saturday, May 19 2007, 1:28pm
Hicks has landed, the Eagle is moulting, the Roo has been shot, the Emu has impaled itself on a boundary fence and local mass media outlets are falling over themselves to toe the propaganda line. The first hysterical element of local reporting is the strained phraseology in use by servile journos, “convicted terrorism supporter … confessed terrorism supporter … Australian Qaeda supporter”, etc. Few media outlets seem to have any idea of the implications of the word “convicted”, which implies the result of a legitimate, legal process; a process that was clearly denied David Hicks. History will record it thus as the Truth is widely known! (story and 1 comment and 2 images)

The grotesque and disgusting, John Howard image HIV carriers not welcome in Australia nano, Thursday, Apr 12 2007, 1:18pm
The grotesque and disgusting, pathological, lying coward Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard is cutting a comical figure as he flounders from one gaffe and blunder to another. Jumping straight from the ‘cubicle’ of support for a known racist and questionable character (Alan Jones) to the primitive, superstitious behaviour of stigmatising individuals suffering manageable maladies and preventing them from entering the country. Howard’s recent gesture of banning individuals with HIV is reminiscent of the all-male, ruling priest class of the Old Testament who banished women experiencing their menstrual cycle. Menstruating women once struck fear into the hearts of ignorant and primitive men – the primitivism of it all! Howard is exposing some extremely disturbing gender issues and phobias with his latest unenlightened attempt to manipulate Australian society. (story and 1 image)

text China Rejects US Human Rights Criticism Daniel Schearf via rialator, Thursday, Mar 8 2007, 6:48am
China has rejected U.S. criticism of its human rights record, accusing Washington of hypocrisy for not addressing its own abuses. In a tit-for-tat response to the U.S. State Department's annual human rights report, China issued its own report accusing Washington of systematic abuses both abroad - in Iraq and Afghanistan - and at home. Daniel Schearf reports from Beijing. (story and 2 comments)

John Howard -- the least likely! image Assault on Language precedes Assault on Liberties and Identity peptide, Wednesday, Jan 24 2007, 12:46pm
Effective attacks on cultural consciousness necessarily include attacks on language. These assaults are both overt and covert. The absurd new stock exchange expression, “profit taking”, which displaced the accurate and sensible word, “selling”, was implemented to eliminate negative connotations associated with the word “selling” in a stock exchange context. However, the replacement term “profit taking” is intentionally deceptive as it is obvious that selling is not always associated with profit taking; many divestments incur huge losses. It is revealing that the appropriate regulatory authorities have not challenged the widespread use of the new misleading (replacement) expression. The covert introduction of the less volatile phrase in the world of stock market trading reflects the deceptive and secretive machinations and manipulations of international finance. Alexander Downer: Portrait of a Sycophant image Oz Minister’s Identity Crisis finch, Wednesday, Jan 17 2007, 9:21am
The ‘Australian’ Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, familiar to the local population as an American apologist, stooge and lackey, appears to have lost every vestige of a national identity as he strained today to defend the illegal detention by the criminal Bush regime of the Australian citizen, David Hicks. Mr. Downer’s muddled and professionally unqualified statements regarding the mental health of David Hicks, after five years detention in Guantanamo Bay concentration camp, only serve to highlight his personal dereliction of duty and his traitorous attitude to a foreign power. David Hicks: American Injustice image Hicks, Guantanamo and the Howard Government dingo, Monday, Aug 14 2006, 1:37pm
Good, bad or just plain stupid, David Hicks remains an Australian son. Democratic nations have a responsibility to protect their citizens in times of need; a number of democratic nations have already successfully repatriated their citizens from the illegal torture centre of Guantanamo Bay; however, after a period of four years the Howard government has been unable or unwilling to effect the repatriation of David Hicks.

If a truly strong case against Hicks existed it surely would have been prosecuted to the full advantage of the terrorist scare campaign that Bush constantly wages on the American people. The fact that the USA is loath to give Hicks a fair and open trial, and in view of the obvious manipulative tactics utilised by corrupt U.S. ‘legal’ officers to delay proceedings, it would appear that the grounds upon which the U.S. military have based their ‘case’ is extremely flimsy and/or could attract litigation for illegal detention, torture and human rights abuses! text Annapolis in Wonderland furlong, Monday, Dec 5 2005, 5:21am
The present international instability could result in one or numerous other horrendous scenarios. However, the one glaring consistency or constant in today’s international political arena is the hatred that America has attracted from the rest of the world. Regardless of any other consideration, a nation despised by all is doomed. The USA has earned its reward by its blatant double standards, hypocrisy and the serial exploitation of weaker nations. These are the direct causes of the retaliatory response on American interests worldwide. The so-called “terrorists” are only a minor distraction while the real war unfolds.

text Sedition and Opportunity Kingfisher, Saturday, Nov 5 2005, 1:24am
Real democracies are populated with active not passive citizens; passivity is characteristic of totalitarian and other oppressive regimes. Prior to any government or ruling body eliminating hard-won liberties and circumventing constitutional rights, the population must necessarily become timid, fearful, apathetic and passive. How simple it becomes to harness and manipulate such a population!

text Sense or Subversion cleaves, Friday, Oct 21 2005, 5:10am
Australian federal government expenditure on media consultants and market analysts exceeds three hundred million dollars per annum. Despite all the Taxpayer’s money that is spent only a proportion of the population adopts Howard’s cringe mentality and succumbs to the contractionist politics of fear. Announce the (remote) possibility of ‘chicken’ fever (avian flu) mutating and a percentage of the population rushes pharmacies and exhausts the supply of an anti-viral drug reputed to alleviate some of the ill effects (but not prevent) this disease. [Remember the Y2K scare and associated hysteria?] In answer to the tiniest ‘army’ in the history of warfare (a few dozen ‘terrorists’) we turn our whole existence upside down running in fear and loathing at every little alarm that our lying politicians would sound.

BANKSY -- mona image Sedition/definitions - KMA Editorial Team, Tuesday, Oct 18 2005, 8:51am
Should we mention how concerned media magnates are in the age of free information? Blogs, free presses and numerous other independent media groups, all have ultra-right regimes jumpin'. They cannot tolerate real free speech and the 'voices' of protest and dissent. Congratulations to all the people of the world who cherish their rights and freedoms – we salute you! All your combined small voices have become a deafening roar – the new sedition laws in Australia are an indication that you have been heard to the extent that you require silencing – the nefarious forces are on the run! text Antics of ASIO finch, Tuesday, Jun 28 2005, 5:13am
The Australian Security Intelligence Organisation is at present scurrying about attempting to gain some credence by engaging in a series of raids in Sydney and Melbourne. The focus of these “raids” has not been clarified – the term “terrorists” was of course mentioned but no arrests were made. The raids were described by ASIO liaison as “preventative measures,” designed to disrupt “future” organised terrorist attacks! Therefore these raids could be accurately described as pre-emptive actions; we know the result of pre-emption without accurate, solid evidence. If the evidence does not exist the raids would then be pure harassment and illegal.
