Rosa Cherie image A Preponderance of Rosas Inana, Tuesday, Jul 4 2006, 10:48pm
This piece was prompted by an image of the 'Rosa Cherie' published in the Guardian International Newspaper a couple of weeks ago.

It indicated a full colour photograph of the Rosa Cherie, a new hybrid developed for the Birmingham flower show that looked like a vulva. It was juxtaposed with an image of a mitre, indicating the ongoing Episcopalian schism over a female bishopric.

Cherie Blair was photographed veiled and in conversation with Benedict the 16th precisely a week before, to discuss the decline in the European birth Rate. At the time of seeing both these images and the positioning of this woman as some sort of a Rosa Mundi, an example to western women of the stability of the capitalist ethos, in the light of her spouse prosecuting an illegal war against a soverign nation and giving conscience and voice to U.S imperialism, I felt the need to protest. text The Starving Millions and “Kylie Minogue’s Ordeal” finch, Tuesday, Jul 4 2006, 7:28am
It’s called distraction, shifting focus, drawing attention away from the real issues that beset the majority of humans on the planet. We are all anticipating another round of distracting emotive images on our televisions; things are not going well for the powers, it’s time for another ‘circuit’ of abuse awareness commercials, always topical and a guaranteed mind-shifter. The public consciousness is a well-managed resource – never doubt it!

text The Gaza Strip and Jewish Ideology nano, Saturday, Jul 1 2006, 6:31pm
Whether you love them or hate them, Jews are nothing if not consistent. The first detailed record of genocide (committed by Jews) is in the Old Testament. As recorded in Jewish Scripture, the Jew Joshua claimed that Jehovah instructed him to slaughter the innocent civilian men, women, children and even babes on the tit in Canaanite cities and towns. These acts of barbaric atrocity were not problematic for the Jews of history or today’s Israeli Jews it would seem. One Jewish hostage, Gilad Shalit, and the State of Israel declares war – is this an over reaction or just cultural consistency? (story and 1 comment)

BANKSY -- mortar rats image MADNESS finch, Saturday, Jun 3 2006, 7:00am
The lack of skill and the madness of US Military personnel has once again made headlines. The latest exposed atrocity committed by US forces is the massacre of twenty-four innocent civilians (including women and children) in Haditha, Iraq. Little wonder that ineptitude and lack of expertise is displayed at the end of the chain of command when the top of the chain displays the greater degree of incompetence. But the most profound madness is exhibited as the inaction of the people of the USA. The madness of paralysis in the face of criminal government; the madness of inaction against the subversion of the Constitution of the United States; the madness of lost civil liberties without a struggle or insurrection. MADNESS has permeated every layer of society, from the top to the bottom, throughout the entire culture the disease is easily identified. MADNESS is the USA TODAY! (story and 2 comments and 2 images)

Mari Alkatiri image Reeking in Timor nano, Sunday, May 28 2006, 7:21am
Did I hear that word again (communist)? The comment/accusation was directed at the Timorese Prime Minister Alkatiri during an Oz ‘newscast’ – certainly puts an interesting slant on the Timor situation! I was reminded of the emerging independence of the Congo and the short life of its charismatic leader, Patrice Lumumba. The intervention of the CIA and the subsequent assassination of Patrice were entirely ‘coincidental’ events! (story and 3 comments and 2 images)

text Expediency: the Death of Ideology budgie, Thursday, May 25 2006, 7:35am
While the forces of the traditional ‘left’ argue and analyse themselves into irrelevance (out of existence) the expedient right rumbles forward like a juggernaut. The left has been overwhelmed by simple expediency, the ‘whatever it takes’ (just get the job done) mentality is winning the day. Political correctness has all but destroyed the left whereas the right streaks ahead unburdened by any ethical issues. Ideology has been completely abandoned in favour of strategy. Any semblance to ideology is merely coincidental or a ruse/distraction. (story and 1 comment)

text Conservative coalition enters Next Phase peptide, Friday, May 19 2006, 4:33pm
In response to increased UN pressure to close the illegal Guantanamo Bay detention/torture centre, the Americans left no doubt, “we have no intention of closing Guantanamo Bay”. The flagrant illegality of Guantanamo Bay is lost on the Americans, or worse, stands as a defiant monument to American belligerence and unilateralism. The rest of the world can go to hell; Americans do what they want when they want, is that clear?

text Fundamentally Sick: Freud and Human Society finch, Wednesday, May 10 2006, 8:14am
For the purposes of this short paper it will suffice to restate the obvious and wonder how the health of modern human society could have been described as anything other than terminally ill. Society is only an expression of its component parts (people) and it is in that component that the overall health of any society can be measured. Accordingly, behavioural modification in a large group of people would alter the character and course of a society or nation. It is the behavioural modifiers that deserve attention.

custard pie -- BANKSY image Boffins, Buffoons and Intelligence Agencies junior, Sunday, May 7 2006, 7:18pm
Paul O'Sullivan, Director-General ASIO, recently fielded questions after his public address at the Sydney Institute. In response to a question relating to the Cronulla race riots, the ASIO chief confirmed that extremism from any quarter (left or right) would attract the attention of our domestic watchdog. His answer prompted a memory recall of the most infamous failure of our domestic spy agencies, the Sydney Hilton Bombing of February ’78. (story and 1 image)

text The Bleating Bush peptide, Tuesday, Apr 25 2006, 5:40pm
Bush has responded to recent bombings in Egypt with a finger pounding demonstration of determined imbecility; he once again identifies “the enemy” as singular, implying a centralised terrorist group. If the USA had any credible intelligence they would know that the ‘enemy’ is in fact many separate and spontaneously occurring cells rather than a fixed hierarchical centralised group. Misinformation could be another reason the USA is failing in Iraq! US troops are unable to locate the “enemy” to which Bush and his administration continually refers – we should not forget that Rumsfeld briefs Bush on these matters.

Bosch's ship image A Convoy of Fools: The moronic masses dingo, Saturday, Apr 22 2006, 9:50am
The title would suggest that the writer is not attempting to ingratiate self with the readership; to remove any lingering doubts in that regard you can go fuck yourself or any other member of your immediate family, OK! I’m happy to leave persuasive discourse to the theological, political and capital oriented propagandists. (story and 4 comments and 1 image)

text Doctrinaire Ideologues: Relics of the Past nano, Monday, Apr 17 2006, 7:40am
It is the overwhelming masses of China that will assert their primacy over minority government and then spill across borders into surrounding regions. Existing maps of Asia and Europe will become redundant overnight. People across the globe will be spurred into action as they drag their corrupt leaders from their lairs to face the quick judgement of the people. Bunkers deep in mountains, designed to harbour criminal elites in times of devastation, have only a finite supply of resources. The inhabitants can only postpone the inevitable; justice is patient.

text Easter Message 2006 finch, Saturday, Apr 15 2006, 1:40pm
Irrespective of the particular religious hypocrisy to which believers may subscribe, the Christian period of Easter occupies centre stage at present; it’s hypocrisy time for modern Christians and in particular their leaders. It’s time (in the face of war, famine, injustice, pollution, inequity etc) to hear from the normally disengaged leaders of the various Christian sects and churches. It is show time but not action time for the hypocrites that lead their congregations by example – practical commitment to the principles of their faith is sorely lacking.

text Option Depletion and the Military Response peptide, Monday, Apr 10 2006, 3:15pm
Analysts have been aware of the planned sequence of attacks on Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran from the start, ‘two down one to go’; this plan was conceived in the nineties. The future utilisation of ‘strategic’ or tactical nuclear weapons (so-called bunker-busters) was clearly indicated by the US military during the Afghan campaign. The planned attack on Iran incorporating nuclear weapons should not surprise anyone. The USA has proven to the world that it is unable to prevail in sustained conventional warfare. The troops and the nation are simply not up to the task, successful ground combat is now beyond the capability of the USA – China, Russia and other powers have taken note.

text Theologica Evangelica finch, Monday, Apr 3 2006, 3:30pm
A news report on April 3, stated that U.S. Evangelicals, numbering approximately thirty five million, are considering withdrawing their support from the Bush government; the failure in Iraq was cited as the principal reason. It seems incredible that thirty five million people deliberated over a previous decision to support Bush only to arrive at a diametrically opposite view today. In any religious organisation it is the few who decide for the many, a handful of people are making all the policy decisions and exercising a degree of influence as a result. Their power stems from the fact that the congregation conforms and does as it is directed. (story and 1 comment)

text Oz visit: A Dose of U.S. Delusion from Rice Kingfisher, Thursday, Mar 16 2006, 12:42pm
Australia experienced a dose of Americana in the form of a visit from (divorced from reality) Condoleezza Rice, who maintains that Iraq is in a better position today than prior to the US invasion! The whole world is aware of the absolute DEBACLE that is Iraq and the ridiculous claims that were made prior to the invasion and now the absurd excuses from Wolfowitz, Rice and others, that everything will turn out fine in the end. Fairytale explanations do not ‘cut it’ outside the USA, Ms. Rice, what future or ‘end’ did you have in mind? The whole world is aware that you are ‘winging it’ or improvising as you go! But it’s a damn shame that kids and other innocents are dying while you and your criminally inept government lie and deceive. (story and 1 comment)

text Anachronism visits Australia finch, Sunday, Mar 12 2006, 2:45am
Two high profile women visit Oz, an anachronism and a modern evolutionary equivalent, the Queen of England, Lizzy, and the US Secretary of State, Condy. The Australian cringe faces the focus of its pathological fears of independence. India, Pakistan and numerous tiny island ex-colonial nations have become independent but to Australia’s great shame it is yet unable to assert its full independence. Instead it has played its psychosis like an octave and transposed its complex to daddy America – chunder! (story and 2 comments)

Dumbya Bush image Corruption and Decline peptide, Friday, Mar 3 2006, 4:17am
Bush is not very good at anything, with that fact the world is fully acquainted, however, even the lowliest morons are usually good liars but recent video evidence has proven that Bush is not even skilled in the lowly art of lying. All doubts regarding Bush’s prior knowledge of the magnitude and destructive impact expected of Katrina have been dispelled by the release of video evidence clearly portraying Bush in full knowledge of the then pending emergency. We leave the pathological problem of Bush and the lying neo-cons in the incapable hands of the American people; the Bush regime is internationally known as the most deceitful and tawdry in American history. Good luck doodles, China and Russia could not hope for better! (story and 1 image)

text Austria, Hitler and Howard’s Australia nano, Sunday, Feb 26 2006, 2:38pm
Pauline Hanson recently announced on news radio that her political views have been “vindicated”; she cited the overt racist attitudes of John Howard and Peter Costello as proof of her claim. Who could deny it? Hanson’s imprisonment on trumped-up charges was an act of political assassination instigated by Howard but executed by his then errand boy, Tony Abbott. Hanson’s trial and subsequent imprisonment effectively eliminated her and her party from the Australian political landscape; mainstream racist ideology was re-established in its rightful home, the white Australian conservative ultra-right Liberal Party of Howard! The world watches Australia take a giant leap backwards as Howard continues to divide the nation. (story and 1 comment)
