A recent news broadcast regarding bombings against US occupation in Iraq depicts Dick Cheney and George W (parroting the same remarks) "they’re testing our wills."
As I watched that bald-faced liar (Cheney) speaking through the side of his mouth (as usual) I wondered to whom he was referring as "they" and whom he was hoping to designate as "our." I was sitting quietly in my lounge room in the full knowledge that I hadn’t participated in any illegal war activities and that my will had been focused on toasting a sandwich and making a cup of coffee; who would want to test that I thought? But of course Cheney was referring to himself and a tiny group of Americans who were being tested – by whom? I thought – I’m sure Dick and George weren’t too sure either, so ‘terrorists’ had to fit the bill, largely because ‘communists’ were no longer in fashion.
OK, I thought – the whole world is sick of all the wars and conflict so lets get the two opposing parties together. The world will be relieved to have an end to it, so we should facilitate the process of joining these two tiny groups in battle – while we watch! In one corner we have a small group of zealous fanatics and in the other corner we have a small group of oil entrepreneurs.
It occurred to me that maybe I was being a bit harsh to suggest that we put these warring parties in a sports stadium and arm them with sticks so they could all test each others brains. But maybe not – if the oil interests and religious fanatics are willing to have us in the firing line – then the sooner the better. The rest of us could then get on with a peaceful existence.
So Georgie and Dickie – don’t push your luck! None of my friends are affiliated with oil companies or religious extremists and we are not going to do anyone’s dirty work.
The overwhelming majority of Muslims and Christians are peace-loving people; so take note warmongers! If you persist in making trouble – we shall just have to hand you over to each other. It can be arranged without too much difficulty.
