The Gamesmanship of Bob Gates, US Secretary of Defense

Addressing West Point cadets recently, US Secretary of Defense, Bob Gates, made what would appear to the uninitiated or uninformed, to be an astonishing statement, “Any future defense secretary who advises the president to again send a big American land army into Asia or into the Middle East or Africa should ‘have his head examined,’ as General MacArthur so [in]delicately put it.” Quite a statement from anyone who holds that office; however, Gates is no fool and is acutely aware for whom these unwinnable, illegal, civilian killing, criminal wars are being waged, the CORPORATIONS or more specifically, Petro-Chemical and associated, Transnational Oil Companies. [Old soldiers roll in their graves!]
There is no honour in killing civilians or fighting COMMERCIAL WARS OF ACQUISITION, furthermore, the military is acutely aware of the FACT -- and that includes every service man and woman on the ground -- hence the need for 'combat enhancing' drugs! Do we have a morale and premature burn-out problem? You’d better believe it! And it doesn’t stop there; the MALAISE that has infected military personnel is now infecting the broader population, dissolution is rife in the USA. ‘O, what tangled webs,’ indeed.
You see, every human being knows instinctively, that there is a price to everything and the United States is paying through the nose for its overtly criminal pursuits – has China or Russia invaded nations and killed countless civilians for the price of a barrel of oil? NO! Both nations conduct business and come to agreeable arrangements with other nations (its called TRADE) everybody wins.
But sane business pursuits were not in favour with the LUNATICS that drafted and signed the PNAC document, which favoured unwarranted and needless, aggressive military intervention to essentially STEAL what other more CIVILISED nations enter into trade relations to obtain.
The PNAC ‘strategy’ -- a lunatic document if ever there was one -- was drafted and signed by rabid neo-cons, nevertheless, it is being pursued by the Obama administration today, for reasons only known to other lunatics in Washington – rest assured, history will no doubt reveal the entire, sordid sequence of events.
To realise the insane strategy of PNAC the US Executive would require increased powers, less accountability and much more autonomy, a new global enemy and declaration of war would come in very handy at this stage.
And whadya KNOW? As if 'made to order,' we had the extremely convenient nano-thermite 9/11 and US military Lab, anthrax events to fill that need! Look out resource rich WORLD, here comes CRIMINAL AMERICA to indiscriminately kill anyone that gets in the way of its plunder and pillaging activities. But in whose name and for whose benefit is all this NEEDLESS mayhem, violence and destruction carried out? The CORPORATIONS, of course!
When we consider the character and forces behind the immediate term gratification, ‘bottom line’ driven ideology of Corporations/Transnationals, the entire sequence of events forms a VERY UGLY but ACCURATE picture for the WORLD to see very clearly indeed.
America will regret the day it disregarded the FAR REACHING CONSEQUENCES of its overtly criminal actions. You are spread so thin now, a little tweak here and there is all that is required to bring the entire deck of cards tumbling down. Get ready to reap what you sowed, Uncle! The thunder you hear in the background is the fast approaching TRAIN of RETRIBUTION hurtling your way.
Bob just needed to clear his conscience and make it plain before he retired, it’s ALL gonna FAIL!
