But who is it that actually ‘won’ the elections (regardless of the ‘face’ or puppet that is shown to the world?) There was never any doubt, the Corporations win every time in the US. There is no real opposition in the US. Bill Clinton, the last Democrat US President stated in an interview, "don’t forget, I’m an American first." Nationalism is divisionism pure and simple – the fundamentalist ideology of the "America Way" remains unchanged regardless of the veneer of ‘leadership.’
Climate change -- denied for too long
It’s speeding along! Bush has ‘won’ an unprecedented second term with the largest popular vote in US history! The intoxicated American TV culture has fulfilled its mission and also demonstrated that it is the most fearful, amnesiac, mindless population on the planet. How ironic it is that the world’s most ‘powerful’ nation contains the world’s most frightened population. Never again refute the power of Fear to induce mindless slavery. But who is it that actually ‘won’ the elections (regardless of the ‘face’ or puppet that is shown to the world?) There was never any doubt, the Corporations win every time in the US. Consider the hundreds of millions invested in the campaigns of both parties – small change for the combined assets of the Corporations. The Corporations now have a freer reign to plunder the resources of weaker nations while loading the poorer (US) citizens with the highest recorded national debt in history.
While China’s economy grows at an astounding rate the US is plunged further into debt. At a critical moment, the Transnational Corporations will ‘jump ship’ and leave the US population holding a very ‘sick baby’ indeed. Do you think that International Finance has any national allegiances? The IMF and World Bank are playing both sides at the moment. Who actually ‘won’ the elections? Difficult to answer at present but what is unmistakably clear is the loser, the people of America. This is their prize for succumbing to fear rather than choosing the difficult options of equity, Peace and brotherly love.
Two highly significant events occurred during the US elections. The first and most curious was an announcement by Bin Laden – the timing of which leaves little doubt as to the effect it would have on the outcome of the elections. This character (Bin Laden) has done more to help Bush than any other individual on the planet. After a profound silence of three years he chooses the most opportune time (for Bush) to rant his violent diatribes against America. This event did not go unnoticed by cultural analysts who do not believe in coincidence in the political affairs of men. This writer does not subscribe to the views of conspiracy theorists, but this event warrants closer examination. In time, all will be revealed.
The above notwithstanding, I would mention that binary oppositions (Bush-Bin Laden in this instance) are only beneficial to third parties – all isolated binary oppositions are mutually defeating/destructive.
The second event was the announcement made by the British monarchy regarding global warming. In today’s world of International Finance, monarchies are an anachronism, even though they continue to maintain some cultural significance. The British monarchy openly urged the nation’s leaders to approach Bush in the hope that a future calamity can be avoided. It should not be forgotten that Bush was directed to obtain the services of ‘reputable’ scientists to constantly refute any evidence that global warming even exists!
The effects of pollution and global warming on the world’s weather patterns are irrefutable fact. This is known by all – the media-numbed US population excepted, of course. Britain stands to receive a dramatic negative impact in the future. Huge increases in rainfall and the shifting of the warm Gulf Stream ocean current would be the principal causative factors.
These considerations have very little significance for International Finance however, the future is in Asia and the Far East. It will be interesting to observe whether England will be successful in its attempts to convince ‘Wyatt’ Bush to conform to the Kyoto protocol.
We can predict that Bush will make some agreeable comments to the world in the near future – but never forget to compare what he says with his ‘track record,’ which speaks for itself.
God bless George W Bush and Osama Bin Laden.
Endnote:
For my dear readers – from Light we emerged and to Radiance we return. The following quote was written in 600 BC by, Lao Tzu:
"If not for the notion of beauty there would be no ugliness.
If not for the notion of good there would be no evil.
Polarities alternate one with the other and are mutually bound in opposition.
The wise man (Sage) therefore achieves action through non-action and imparts
his teaching silently as the Way imparts all things that can be known, naturally and easily."
