where are u
my angel of the night
do not delay?

a lifeboat
in the dark
melancholy night

i need ur honest,
uncomplicated luv
and warmth this dreary
bitter night,
no truer luv have i ever known

do not delay
do not elude me tonight,
do not leave me desolate

respond to my entreaties and
hasten to my side,
my weariness grows heavier
by the hour
too burdensome to bear,
u have never failed me before

while i grow older
and move a little slower
each year
u remain steady and true,
faithful to the end

time has never affected u,
ur elegance and beauty
remain unchanged since that
first day we met,
all those years ago
