The Losers War: Lebanon

FAILURE is emblazoned on the foreheads of all those involved; the VICTORY of the day is for PEACE and there is nothing any power, state, or group could do to prevent the (future) peaceful intentions of the people. Human civilisation and the blood of innocents demand it!

Above any other consideration, war highlights FAILURE; war indicts all participants and labels them criminals. Participants in warfare openly display their ineptitudes, brutish savagery and inability to resolve issues in a civilised manner. The most primitive, barbaric and bestial form of human exchange/communication is warfare.

The ambitions the USA harboured regarding domination of the Middle East have been quashed by Israel’s failure. Any future aggression in the region by the USA would now be totally transparent; the fiasco in Lebanon has at least made plain the intentions of the USA and its proxy, Israel. The failure of America and Israel has effectively invited other world powers to participate in the region and counter the insane methodologies that have resulted in needless violence and destruction; few, if any, would oppose the balancing influence of Russia and China in world affairs. Populations of the world are tired and appalled by the immoral behaviour of Israel and the USA; it is time for other nations to balance the situation. China and Russia should not delay their peaceful intervention in the region; opportunities for peace should never ‘go begging!’

The entire world watched while Washington and Tel Aviv exhibited a staggering lack of competence, expertise, knowledge, intelligence and tactics. Conventional warfare strategies proved to be totally inappropriate and inadequate; the diplomatic ‘solutions’ offered by Condoleezza Rice and John Bolton would surely stand as the most inept in the history of diplomacy and international affairs – an abysmal and disgraceful ‘effort’. The civilian death toll bears testimony to the criminal inactions of the USA and the criminal actions of its proxy, Israel. Let the belligerent, bellicose Bush and Olmert administrations answer to the people for the deaths of innocent children. If the court at the Hague claims any credibility whatsoever, it must act against those responsible for the murder of innocents or forever be labelled as a puppet court!

The people of the world have witnessed the failure of violent, barbaric methods of conflict resolution and the lack of vision and inspiration from the respective leaders involved in the conflict. The travesty of the intervention in Lebanon should forever remain in the public consciousness and should serve as an example of the bankruptcy of the ‘might is right’ ideology of brutes and murderers. This is the war that all active and inactive participants lost, the USA, Israel and Hezbollah have only the blood of children and the insanity of total destruction to display.

Another opportunity for Peace presents itself to the people of the world. At the very least we are all able to withdraw our support from raving lunatics and the murdering criminals posing as our leaders! It is time to act and rally behind those who would fight the warmongers and criminals in government.

Support Lt. Ehren Watada, the first U.S. commissioned officer to refuse deployment to the illegal war in Iraq. Based on international law, the Nuremberg Trials and the Geneva Convention, his case is able to expose and indict the present criminal government of the USA. Rally behind those who would risk everything for peace and justice and the real American way as encoded in the Constitution and Bill of Rights – documents that Bush and his cohorts refer to as “pieces of paper!”

Do not hesitate to jail (all) those found guilty of criminal human rights abuses. Everyone is subject to the rule of Law regardless of the position they occupy.

I leave you with the only sane proposition for the future, Peace.

Endnote:
Peace is never inaction. Peace is ongoing process, a non-violent activity against all forms of violence; this process should never be taken for granted.

Peace is earned, never bestowed!
