What consistencies, common elements and patterns are identifiable in the following events: the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the attack on the USS Liberty, and 9/11? Although time, geographic location and historical context separate these events they nevertheless share remarkably similar aims, objectives and characteristics. All these orchestrated events provided an excuse for the USA to engage in what would have otherwise been blatantly illegal warfare. The Tonkin incident ‘justified’ American miliary aggression against Vietnam; the USS Liberty incident would have provided an ideal excuse for U.S. involvement in the six-day war; the 9/11 attack has been utilised as the primary justification for America’s military expansionism and the implementation of draconian laws on the domestic front.
American media 'integrity' -- below
The effect of neo-con policies is not a “safer” nation, as is often claimed by robotic, ultra-conservative, mindless marionettes, but the exact opposite. America has never been in a more precarious situation in its entire history. Anyone who imagines otherwise is clearly divorced from reality. War is not a solution it is THE PROBLEM.
Modern warfare has taught us that surrender or capitulation is no longer sought as a viable option by anyone. The result of this radical shift in attitude, which the U.S. has failed to fully appreciate, makes all wars self-defeating and counter-productive. The days of subservient, vanquished enemies are over – this fact is also lost on the old men who rule in Washington. In view of the new reality of modern warfare, who in their right mind would consider it (war) a solution?
Recent leaks of U.S. intelligence agency assessments confirm existing past and present realities regarding the failure of U.S. military ‘solutions’. The agencies have simply stated the obvious but it would seem that reality is extremely unwelcome in Washington. The ineptitudes and failures of the present regime are plain to see. The inability of the Bush regime to collect, manage, evaluate and act appropriately on information neutralises any effective capability.
It will take considerable time before the American intelligence community recovers from political interference. No greater negative impact could be levelled at the intelligence community than political interference – autonomy is absolutely pre-requisite (imperative) in the successful running of any intelligence agency. Political interference has almost completely destroyed the capability of the U.S. intelligence community. The result for America is 'a blind man running' (fall is inevitable).
The American ‘right’ has been challenged (on numerous occasions) to list their constructive achievements in three major areas, the international, national and hometown. To date CHAOS, DEATH and DESTRUCTION remain their outstanding contributions to the world. In the face of war, murder, torture and mayhem (Iraq, Afghanistan); negative economic pressures; lack of functional crisis management (Katrina) and no appreciable improvement in hometown USA [not to mention environmental vandalism] one can only deduce that the population has embraced nihilism and entropy – is a ‘black void’ the culmination of American culture? [A most curious inversion has occurred, an entire nation (America) has adopted the mindset of Kamikaze pilots and suicide bombers!]
My question is whether the billions of dollars made by the few; Halliburton, International Finance, Oil interests and various ‘defence contractors’, justifies compromising an entire nation and the future security of its people? I’m sure we would all like a sane and coherent answer from a sane and coherent person (if one can be found in Washington!)
'Democracy is burning' and liberties are evaporating for the sake of Zionist Israel, the pathological greed of a few, and the nihilistic pursuits of religious zombies who have lost their ability to experience the joy of life. [There is no joy in dead books, Torah, Koran or Bible.]
Isolation strategies deployed to contain infectious diseases would seem the appropriate response to American insanity and nihilism. We reject you (USA) completely!
We choose not to follow America into chaos, murder, torture and oblivion. Our way is the way of Peace; we engage ALL in Harmonious relations. We do not kill infants or innocents and we do not plunder others' wealth. We engage everyone in the spirit of mutual aid and mutual cooperation. Our attitude to the 'other' is as to ourselves – we do not assume superiority or subservience to any other human being:
We are ONE.
Peace.
