Women form vanguard of anti-war/Peace movement in U.S.
For the uninitiated or uninformed CODEPINK is a predominantly women’s anti-war, anti-Bush, life affirming, Peace movement. Their success lies in unity, innovative tactical thinking, COURAGE, strategic planning, simple image branding and dedication of the RELENTLESS variety -- the totality of which spells a formula for success! Are the many lame ideologically hamstrung, FAILED protest movements learning yet?
KISS is an acronym for ‘Keep It Simple Stupid’ and CODEPINK employs this highly successful, accessible strategy down to its very pink T-shirts! Those interested in internationalising this successful movement are invited to contact CODEPINK via their website – link provided below.
We publish the beginning of their mission statement for your information; the remainder can be read on their website:
CODEPINK is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities. We reject the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence, and instead call for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to international law.The Cleaves Editorial Team, though predominantly code ‘blue’ at the present time, stands in solidarity and support with the sisters of CODEPINK. The simple truth is that Bush and his neo-conservatives have more to fear from CODEPINK than Bin Laden or any of his ilk – ‘onya sisters!
