This one is easy, too obvious to warrant an in depth analysis. What is it that all presidential candidates have in common besides lying through their teeth? [Distinctions between major party policies have virtually disappeared in the U.S. today.] What does the general tone, posture, and approach indicate? Why are those responsible for plunging the nation into numerous crises (failed wars, economy, legal rights etc) ignored by the candidates who should be screaming for blood? Outlining remedial policies in STARK CONTRAST to the ‘policies’ of the prevailing Bush regime would seem in order one would think! Remember the axiom, the best defence is attack? Why have the current field of candidates abandoned the most useful weapon of politics -- ATTACK?
All U.S. presidential candidates are noticeably PASSIVE, none have gone on the OFFENSIVE with issues of RESPONSIBILITY in relation to the abysmal record of the Bush regime! None really oppose the STATUS QUO!
The question is why?
Why haven’t the candidates attacked the Banks and demanded a full inquiry into the gross mismanagement of the people’s finances and the failure of the national economy – believe it or not people are responsible for these events? Could it possibly be related to the fact that government is no longer representative, that democratic elections are a farce, a field of puppets all vying to preserve the status quo and serve the same big money interests? Have YOU noticed the candidates all backflipping on policies that once threatened the status quo?
IT IS CLEAR DEMOCRACY NO LONGER EXISTS IN THE USA – the whole electoral process is a charade, a farce, which possibly explains the low voting participation rate.
Perhaps if the powers were confronted with increasing numbers demanding justice for the looting of the banks and subversion of the national economy. Perhaps if the people ASSERTED THEIR RIGHTS ACCORDING TO THE FOUNDING PRINCIPLES OF THE NATION AND RESTORED DEMOCRACY AND REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT, the nation could be restored to its former glory.
The very first step is the DEMAND for JUSTICE and the restoration of democratic LAWS that have been relentlessly attacked and subverted by the forces responsible for the many crises the nation finds itself in today.
Perhaps, indeed! It’s a pity the population is not up to the task!
