The efforts of America and its allies to demonise people and nations that assert their sovereignty and rights are often foiled by poignant reminders of reality. Truth jolts us back into stark reality and forces us to face our collective humanity.
'Acceptable' collateral damage
The double standards and hypocrisy the world displays regarding Israel’s overt criminal activities in the form of ethnic cleansing, targeting civilians, overt political assassinations and the deliberate use of cluster bomb munitions against civilians affronts our collective conscience and offends everything we value as civilised behaviour. On these occasions the numbing effect of mass media propaganda fails to fog the vivid and stark reality.
Israel introduced terrorism to the Middle East early in its history, a taste of things to come. Menachem Begin, Zionist terrorist and future leader of Israel, initially targeted the British who stood in the way of Zionist ambitions; 91 INNOCENT people were killed in an attack led by Begin on the King David Hotel in 1946. Israel resorted to the ideology of its faith for solutions and found many. For those who have wondered why Jews are able to so easily target innocent journalists, documentary film makers and anyone else who meets with their disapproval, read the following and learn:
Deuteronomy 7
1When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
2And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
3Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
4For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
5But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
6For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
