Morning Dew

from various vapours
i coalesced like dew
on leaves of grass
and created an earthly
presence

[momentarily] i enjoyed
all the delights
the earth could
offer

but the sun
rises high
in the sky
and the life
of morning dew
is fleeting

my return to vapour
is accompanied by
the beat
of butterfly wings
drumming the warm
summer air
