Defense lawyers for Bradley Manning are outraged that a clearly BIASED military court has ruled against full discovery; particularly, allowing defense lawyers access to an internal report covering 'damage assessment,' if any, resulting directly from leaked material. The world's leading civilian killing, therefore terrorist nation, seems concerned that leaked material had very little negative impact on national security, a situation that clearly favors Manning -- so, we can't have that material made available to Manning's lawyers! NATO went to war in Libya to protect civilians through a U.N. mandate (Resolution 1973). Given legitimacy by the U.N. Human Rights Council and by the International Criminal Court, NATO began its ten thousand bombing missions. It quickly exceeded the U.N. mandate, moving for regime change using immense violence. All attempts to find a peaceful solution were blocked. The African Union's high-level panel was prevented from entering Libya as the NATO barrage began. (full story)

The first thing that strikes those following the Bradley Manning case is the clear case of conflict of interests. It is the military that stands accused of war crimes via evidence that Bradley Manning allegedly supplied to WikiLeaks. Obviously the accused military cannot sit in judgement of the alleged facilitator (Manning) to the accuser, WikiLeaks. In the interests of a fair trial Manning's case must be heard independently, outside the sphere of military influence. Numerous courts in the country are able to hear this case. Manning's lawyers have not taken a vigorous enough stand and DEMANDED that the case be heard by an independent, non-military court. (full story and 1 comments)

Ever since the beginning of the financial crisis and Quantitative Easing, the question has been before us: How can the Federal Reserve maintain zero interest rates for banks and negative real interest rates for savers and bond holders when the US government is adding $1.5 trillion to the national debt every year via its budget deficits? Not long ago the Fed announced that it was going to continue this policy for another 2 or 3 years. Indeed, the Fed is locked into the policy. Without the artificially low interest rates, the debt service on the national debt would be so large that it would raise questions about the US Treasury’s credit rating and the viability of the dollar, and the trillions of dollars in Interest Rate Swaps and other derivatives would come unglued. Surely, after gross NATO war crimes in Libya and the obvious proxy assassination of Gaddafi, "we came, we saw, he died," the USA and NATO have no credibility whatsoever regarding 'humanitarian interventions" or as peacemakers. Quite the contrary, the US/NATO create/make WARS for the benefit of their Corporations and Reserve Banking System, which is currently tightening its grip on the global economy and political situation. A most curious ‘urging,’ wouldn’t you think? The provision is unambiguously/CLEARLY unconstitutional, yet Obama’s legal henchmen want the Nazi inspired provision to stay!
