Update (Ukraine)

The observations and re-actions of various ‘experts’ to events in the Ukraine amuse some analysts. Did anyone expect the US not to intervene, do leopards change their spots? Have we all forgotten the US government is merely a pawn of Corporate Capitalism? If it wasn’t an orange scarf it may just as well have been pink – let’s not miss the ‘forest for the trees’ (and in some cases the veins of the leaves.)

The crucial issue here is a clear perspective – not some self-satisfied interpretation from an ideological ‘camp.’ An unbiased view always presents an opportunity. Does it really matter who mobilised the masses, when the situation can turn by the push of a feather! Have we all forgotten how easily Yeltsin hijacked the soft revolt in Russia or how a cunning character by the name of Saul/Paul hijacked a new religious sect/movement and created Christianity? It is not too difficult to see clearly if we are not aligned to any ideology, groups or constrained (blinded) by doctrine.

Machiavelli would have been pleased that another party mobilised the masses for him. Would Sun tzu have missed this perfect opportunity? A thorough understanding of the Slavic cultural consciousness and a handful of skilled operators on the ground are all that is required to tilt the situation in the Ukraine. This one is potentially easier than most – the competition is the USA! What a tragedy it would be for the people of the Ukraine if dumb-arse ‘carrot-dangling’ won the day.
