US military suicides average one per day posted by Jonathan Terbush via stan, 2012-06-08 10:44:15
The principal cause of military suicides is 'burnout;' a term used to cover a multitude of causes, not least among them is fighting illegal, dishonorable, Corporate wars for profit against innocent people. As the jarring contradiction between military indoctrination and the sordid reality on the ground hits home, troops resort more and more to booze, narcotics and amphetamines in futile attempts to avoid facing responsibility for murdering civilians and fighting gangster wars of Corporate appropriation. But as we all know avoidance tactics only delay the inevitable, overwhelming crisis.

It is important to place Pfc Bradley Manning in this context; this brave young soldier is not only doing his comrades a service by exposing Pentagon war crimes, he is FIGHTING overwhelming odds against an inherently corrupt criminal system that cares not for honor, justice and the moral right, but serves the interests of criminal Corporate elites -- isn't that right, Mr Dick 'KBR' Cheney?

Financial Collapse Inevitable -- when is sooner or later? posted by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts via judd, 2012-06-06 01:32:07
Ever since the beginning of the financial crisis and Quantitative Easing, the question has been before us: How can the Federal Reserve maintain zero interest rates for banks and negative real interest rates for savers and bond holders when the US government is adding $1.5 trillion to the national debt every year via its budget deficits? Not long ago the Fed announced that it was going to continue this policy for another 2 or 3 years. Indeed, the Fed is locked into the policy. Without the artificially low interest rates, the debt service on the national debt would be so large that it would raise questions about the US Treasury’s credit rating and the viability of the dollar, and the trillions of dollars in Interest Rate Swaps and other derivatives would come unglued. Western Banks 'Reaping Billions from Colombian Cocaine Trade' posted by Ed Vulliamy via reed, 2012-06-06 01:02:39
The vast profits made from drug production and trafficking are overwhelmingly reaped in rich "consuming" countries – principally across Europe and in the US – rather than war-torn "producing" nations such as Colombia and Mexico, new research has revealed. And its authors claim that financial regulators in the west are reluctant to go after western banks in pursuit of the massive amount of drug money being laundered through their systems. (full story)

Bradley Manning Diminutive Poof, Bradley Manning, teaches American 'he-men' Honour and Character posted by Ed Pilkington via dorothy, 2012-06-04 14:02:00
Homosexual soldier, prisoner of conscience and social hero, Bradley Manning, continues to compromise the US military as each day passes. The depths to which the Pentagon has sunk in order to railroad Manning promises to leave an indelible stain on the US military forever; the criminal Pentagon simply CANNOT survive this case in any moral, legal or civilised context. Aussies Turn their Backs on Major Parties posted by smiley, 2012-06-03 11:31:17
The Australian Labor and Liberal Parties have been rejected by the majority of Aussies as unrepresentative sell-outs to Big Business, the Corporations and Washington. How did the Labor Party expect to survive Gillard's disgusting and insulting LIE on the Carbon crucifixion and how did the Liberal Party hope to survive after Howard's shameless, cowardly kowtowing to Washington's every whim to the extent of involving us in America's illegal and immoral civilian killing wars? Great Barrier Reef at Risk posted by staff report via baz, 2012-06-02 02:03:46
Have no doubts regarding which interests Oz governments serve today. Everyone seems to be benefiting from the Oz mining boom except the Australian people! Billions in profits are siphoned off for corporate elites, Transnationals and Banks but precious little goes into necessary services and infrastructure. Substandard Oz health and dental services continue to suffer due to lack of 'available' funds -- a very odd scenario despite the FACT that it is the PEOPLE that legally OWN the nation's natural wealth. Fukushima: Thousands of Tonnes of Radioactive water pour into the Pacific Daily posted by blogger via radium, 2012-06-01 23:48:52
Japan has given up attempting to contain the billions of litres of radioactive water used to cool stricken Daiichi reactors at Fukushima; with international approval the highly polluted water has been allowed to flow directly into the Pacific Ocean since the time the initial disaster struck. Consider the amount already leaked, then consider the amount yet to be dumped into the Pacific, as there is no easy method available to stabilise these stricken reactors. Fukushima is an international disaster in progress. (full story and 1 comments)

Sociopath, Hillary Clinton, Bilderberg attendee No Doubts regarding Orchestrated conflict in Syria? posted by ben, 2012-06-01 00:21:39
I think it was 'dubya' Bush who once said 'fool me once, I'm an idiot, fool me twice, I'm a moron but fool all the time and I'm an American!

Surely, after gross NATO war crimes in Libya and the obvious proxy assassination of Gaddafi, "we came, we saw, he died," the USA and NATO have no credibility whatsoever regarding 'humanitarian interventions" or as peacemakers. Quite the contrary, the US/NATO create/make WARS for the benefit of their Corporations and Reserve Banking System, which is currently tightening its grip on the global economy and political situation.
