Sadistic, cowardly Oz Pigs enjoying their 'work!' posted by bluey, 2010-10-06 08:25:59 If a picture is worth a thousand words then this video is worth millions. I all but went on an indiscriminate Pig killing spree after viewing this sickening video.
You wonder why my reaction? Prior to the invention of Tasers, I was handcuffed, my ankles tied to a chair and mercilessly beaten for six hours by FIVE 'brave' NSW police for a dope infringement. Well, I was once a doper, now I'm permanently altered thanks to the GUTLESS beyond belief, AUSTRALIAN police. Maybe I'm weak or just human but the next Pig that puts a foot wrong in my direction is in for the shock of his very short life! (full story) injustice/law / international
A Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime posted by via jonn, 2010-10-05 20:00:23 We never meet anyone by accident; a complex matrix of karmic forces are at work to benefit us all -- though at times we may not immediately appreciate that benefit.
All experience, regardless of how 'pleasant' or 'traumatic,' is designed to guide us toward final understanding/Realisation/Fulfilment -- believe it. 'God' does not play dice with the universe.
Existence is a dynamic dance of mutually effecting energies/patterns forming one infinite, constantly expanding matrix of wonder. Think of the geometric perfection of snowflakes, each one unique yet conforming/responding to specific forces/laws in order to form.

Australia's economic growth comes at expense of workers' wages and conditions posted by John McCarthy via stan, 2010-10-05 06:39:32 THE blowout in the cost of living could be directly blamed on companies and governments shifting financial responsibilities and risks on to workers, according a report released by unions. A report, by the Sydney University Workplace Research Centre, found that while Australia had massive economic growth over the past 40 years, wages had been constrained, costs had eaten up a greater percentage of income and more than two million jobs were now part-time or casual. Chorus of Resistance versus the Shrill of Tyranny posted by Michael Edwards via stylus, 2010-10-04 20:49:01 Humanity is rebelling worldwide to the dictates of elite overlords and petty bureaucrats alike. The small, silent statements of resistance have reached a crescendo, a classic tipping point. Whether it is tax rebellion, free speech, freedom of religion, the freedom to speak out against endless war, women’s rights in oppressive regimes, or the freedom to grow one’s own non-toxic food, the small defeats and victories have become a sustained chorus of resistance to ever-increasing forces of oppression and control. This chorus has coalesced from the choirs of different nations, different genders, different political affiliations, different races, and different socio-economic positions. This is the ultimate sign of a true tipping point; critical mass has been reached. (full story and 1 comments) social equality/unity / international

Deceit and the Political Right posted by Jon Faulkner via dasha, 2010-10-03 07:26:45 Without being entirely dismissive of the progressive response to the right's ascendancy it is painfully obvious that words, no matter how eloquent or apt, fall short when arguing the progressive ideology. Republican sophists use rhetorical argument, albeit in the absence of truth, to great success to refute the progressive left. (full story) social/political / international

Blackwater [Xe] Wins Piece of $10 Billion Mercenary Deal posted by Spencer Ackerman via fleet, 2010-10-02 23:35:01 Never mind the dead civilians. Forget about the stolen guns. Get over the murder arrests, the fraud allegations, and the accusations of guards pumping themselves up with steroids and cocaine. Through a “joint venture,” the notorious private-security firm Blackwater has won a piece of a five-year State Department contract worth up to $10 billion, Danger Room has learned. ATO: never fear, incompetent Oz bureaucrats are here! posted by baz, 2010-10-02 22:42:17 [Attention Gillard, Keneally, Bligh and other Oz government ‘leaders.’]

Dumping Dollars The Easy Way posted by Bob Chapman via fleet, 2010-09-30 21:21:28 "Russia is the exception and has thus far failed to use stimulus to weaken its rouble. Every time the IMF tries to suppress gold prices with its gold sales, Russia is right there buying it up, which must infuriate the elitists in Europe and the US. Almost 2/3s of their economy’s growth loss has been due to drought and fires, but with close to $500 billion in foreign exchange, they have no trouble buying gold, which puts those reserves at close to 24 million ounces. It is an easy way to dump dollars. (full story) miscellaneous / international

Simplistic ‘Solutions’ posted by gan, 2010-09-28 21:28:02 Since the introduction of George W Bush’s simplistic, reductionism, “you’re either with us or you’re with the terrorists,” the world has undergone a drastic regression into caveman politics and brute force international relations. It seems almost impossible to conceive that Bush’s moronic, divisionist statement would gain traction in the world, BUT it has – at horrendous cost to innocent civilians unfortunate enough to be in the way of US military expansionism and/or Oil (polluting) Corporations everywhere. Monsanto, GM crops and the massive American bee kill posted by quill, 2010-09-28 09:59:44 American food regulator (FDA) is using its powers to force sellers of GM foods NOT to label any food as genetically modified -- cop that if you're still able to distinguish between the ceiling and the floor! Oz ‘Justice’ posted by quin, 2010-09-27 21:22:45 It’s 'nice' to know little has really changed in this former penal colony -- the corrupt elitist ‘club’ is alive and well. Former Prime Minister, Paul ‘fingers’ Keating, infamous for the Casino "we had to have" on Christmas Island – patronised mainly by the mega-corrupt ruling Indonesian hierarchy of the time. Millions in stolen and re-directed American aid and other monies were laundered through the Casino's tables, thanks to Keating. [And] that embarrassing 'little matter' of a burdensome pig farm conveniently absorbed by Indonesian ‘investors’ – give us all a break, you brazen criminal, Keating! But what’s a thoroughly corrupt, PUPPET politician in Oz these days? (full story) injustice/law / national
