The Secret State's Mad Scheme to Control the Internet posted by Tom Burghardt via Kismo, 2010-06-27 21:13:47
Prussian military theorist Carl von Clausewitz once famously wrote that "war is the continuation of politics by other means." A century later, radical French philosopher Michel Foucault turned Clausewitz on his head and declared that "politics is the continuation of war by other means." In our topsy-turvy world where truth and lies coexist equally and sociopathic business elites reign supreme, it would hardly be a stretch to theorize that cyber war is the continuation of parapolitical crime by other means. The Values of the People that control our Politicians posted by drex, 2010-06-27 07:35:51
From the Niger Delta to the off-shore Oil rig explosion in Western Australia, then to the most catastrophic act of vandalism and environmental destruction in history, the Gulf of Mexico failure of the US government to REGULATE the polluting and murdering CORPORATISTS – what’s a few million dead civilians in Oil rich Iraq and a DEAD ecology in the Gulf compared to the avarice of the bottom liners? Julian Assange -- you can't buy publicity like this! The ‘most Dangerous Man in the World’ posted by quin, 2010-06-21 09:11:34
According to the Pentagon, the most ‘dangerous man in the world’ today is an Australian by the name of Julian Assange! That’s quite a claim from an American Institution that has recently voided its credibility by releasing a commercial evaluation of the natural resource wealth of invaded Afghanistan – makes you wonder what the Corporate sector is doing if the traditional military focuses on commerce and wealth. [Planning the next war, perhaps!] (full story and 1 comments)

Wikileaks Soldier Reveals "360 Rotational Fire" Orders to Kill Civilians posted by Ralph Lopez via gan, 2010-06-18 20:53:49
We can thank the arrogant, inept yanks for making plain the REAL state of political ‘play’ today; the USA is now, and has been for some decades, completely controlled by Banks, Corporations and Global Transnationals – as are most other western ‘democracies.’ With that FACT now firmly established by a PENTAGON release of a mineral wealth commercial assessment for invaded Afghanistan, it is now impossible to view American invasive warfare as anything other than what it is, criminal appropriation, mass murder and PLUNDER. A direct link to the culpable has also been established; a bold line of responsibility connects today's wars with the Boardrooms of the largest Corporations of the World. [Dragging reprehensible, murdering, psychopathic EXECUTIVES to the gallows, after due legal process, would be a MATTER OF COURSE -- inevitable!] Ed. (full story)

Corporate Rule: Proof Irrefutable posted by major mitchell, 2010-06-14 22:41:27
The now anachronistic ‘Department of Defense’ (DoD) recently released a commercial business assessment (see link) of Afghanistan's resource and mineral wealth, which has been measured in the hundreds of BILLIONS of DOLLARS -- a routine matter for Corporations BUT an extraordinary assessment by the Pentagon, which traditionally should be an arm of government charged with the responsibility of national security and defense! Perhaps a name change for the obsolete traditional military is warranted, how about the ‘Department of Greed and Invasion or Civilian Killing and Holocausts or Resource Plundering and Theft etc;’ I’m sure readers could offer hundreds more accurate titles for the obscenity that has occurred these past few days? Canada: A Democracy in Crisis posted by Murray Dobbin via stan, 2010-06-13 22:02:11
Canada is in the midst of a crisis in democracy unique in its history. There is simply no other historical example that one can compare it to. It is multi-faceted and it affects every aspect of our national politics and political discourse. It is inexorably eroding the political fabric of the country and therefore our viability as a democratic nation. (full story)

Iran and the Balkans: Russia Risks Making the Same Mistakes posted by Pyotr Iskenderov via dragan, 2010-06-12 20:39:29
The recent UN Security Council resolution slapping new sanctions on Iran is likely to become the worst defeat suffered by the Russian diplomacy over the past years. Its negative impact may be persistent and more serious than that of the proclamation of Kosovo's independence to which Russia continues objecting. What we are witnessing seems to be an unexpected recurrence of the syndrome of unilateral concessions to the West which eroded Russia's international politics, especially its Balkan part, in the 90's. Following the Western lead in dealing with Iran, Russia is risking to lose both its positions in a region much more extensive than the Balkans and its hard-earned key role in the raising multipolar world.
