Holocaust Denial posted by yarra, 2007-04-26 13:23:37
When is holocaust denial not a crime? When the victims are not Jews it would seem! As the world begins to target the lies and excesses of conservative governments, coalition leaders are becoming more nervous and agitated as each day passes. But the monstrous oversight of all opposition parties – and it’s not accidental – is continued holocaust denial. There is no dismissing the figures from a world-renowned authoritative journal (Lancet). The 660,000 civilian dead in Iraq CONSTITUTE A HOLOCAUST in any ‘language’. The screaming figures can no longer be dismissed, avoided or denied nor can the RESPONSIBILITY for the CRIMES. (full story and 2 comments)

Whenever somebody complains about "the lies that George Bush & Co. told to get us into the Iraq war" (as Frank Rich did in The New York Times on Sunday), I wonder how those lies compare to the lies that the American public tells itself every day -- for example, that we could run America without oil from the Middle East, or that hybrid cars will save Happy Motoring, or that we can have an economy without producing anything of value. bushfire Frantic Lunge from Drowning Conservative posted by nano, 2007-04-22 15:46:57
Howard’s latest glib contribution, ‘Australia Rising’, delivered at the Queensland Media Club today, is yet another attempt to claw back into favour and steal attention away from the Murdoch endorsed future Prime Minister, Kevin (I can suck harder than you) Rudd. Howard’s spin-doctors have been working overtime to no avail it would seem. Following the ridiculous and desperate attempts to steal the agenda with infantile attacks on US presidential candidates, the HIV positive and most recently Howard's very revealing and ‘removed’ call for divine intervention regarding the water crisis, the “Australia Rising” speech will no doubt be greeted by the public with all the disdain it deserves! 'Honest' John Howard Bereft and incompetent Howard seeks Divine intervention! posted by dingo, 2007-04-21 13:34:40
After over a decade of negligence and dereliction of duty, the Prime Minister of secular Australia has urged the population to “pray for rain”. “It's very serious, [O really, we hadn’t noticed Oz is a desert continent!] it's unprecedented in my lifetime [local experts have sounded alarms for decades] and I really feel very deeply for the people affected, [platitude]” Mr Howard told ABC Television. Kevin Rudd The Candidate of Oz posted by budgie, 2007-04-20 17:27:41
The closer Australia gets to the Federal election, the fewer the political differences between the two major candidates! The chances of opposition leader, Kevin Rudd becoming the next Australian prime minister have increased dramatically following his private dinner engagement with king maker, Rupert Murdoch in New York today. During his quick visit to the U.S., Rudd also addressed the Brookings Institution in Washington and confirmed that any negligible differences between his policies and Howard’s would be completely eradicated by the time of the election and that he was ready, willing and able to assume the ’position’ of lackey, sycophant and new governor of America’s newest colonial acquisition, Australia! [O Ned, you’re better off dead!] (full story)

Gore Vidal Hail and Farewell: the End of the American Empire posted by Gore Vidal via rialator, 2007-04-15 16:41:40
Whenever The New York Times finally gets the point to what is going on in our native land a celestial choir can be heard in Times Square, shouting hosannas. This happened recently, on April 14th, when they realized that there could be a dark explanation for what W. is doing when he sends a Mr. Bolton, a U.N. hater, to be ambassador to that body or a Mr. Wolfowitz to the World Bank, a man as ignorant of history and finance as the president himself. Maureen Dowd in the Times was allowed to set the pitch for the latest revelations with her “More Con Than Neo” headline. Meanwhile, hundreds, perhaps thousands, of incompetents are now cluttering the Justice Department while known incompetents are in place to wreck from within regulatory systems and even mighty Walter Reed Hospital itself. Prime Minister Howard Australian Leader – “underdog” posted by Kingfisher, 2007-04-15 15:39:41
The Prime Minister of Australia claimed today that he would contest the forthcoming Federal election as the "underdog" – another tired (and familiar) Howard tactic! The failing politician failed to mention that it was he who created the situation with his inane, ill-considered comments ranging from his hysterical criticisms of U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama, as the terrorist friendly candidate, to his astounding comments on HIV and immigration bans. Australian occupation forces in Dili The Popular Front: Timor-Leste remains fundamentally Fretilin posted by finch, 2007-04-13 11:32:05
Regardless of the destabilising intervention of Australia/USA via Major Reinado and the current occupation, Fretilin remains the principal political force in East Timor. Its roots extend to the beginnings of national identity forged during the bloody resistance campaigns against Indonesia's attempt to annex the tiny nation. After 450 years of Portuguese colonial rule and the recent violent interventions of foreign interests, the tiny nation of Timor-Leste has learnt the value of freedom and independence. The East Javanese left may have influenced the early political leanings of Fretilin, however, today's Fretilin is fervently nationalistic and rejects all forms of foreign interference. Euphemisms, Militarism and U.S. Psychopathology posted by barra, 2007-04-09 00:43:53
I have long since given up wondering why the masses tolerate the most heinous criminals in government; the answer to that was so obvious it was elusive. These days freelancers and associated drunks in the ranks of Murdoch’s Orwellian media, review past stories when nothing dramatic presents for ‘gory story’ and associated press! Hacks are instinctively attuned to language. Word abuse from those in high places always grates and alerts to possible subterfuge. Professionals do not appreciate the tools of their trade being abused by oafs and unqualified sordid types. (full story)

deja vu Cultural Inversions and Criminal Leadership posted by finch, 2007-04-05 15:13:22
Imagine coalition leaders recoiling in horror at the prospect of facing the truth that it is they who are the most criminally liable and culpable terrorists in the world today! Former Secretary General of the UN, Kofi Annan, stated that in order to effectively combat terrorism a universal definition of ‘terrorism’ would be imperative. A ratified definition would eliminate politically motivated, arbitrary definitions made by various groups/States for the principal purpose of serving their own interests. In the absence of a universal definition the legal system and International criminal courts are ‘hamstrung’ or worse, subject to manipulation by powerful (criminal) interests. (full story)

DETROIT -- Iraq is lost militarily and politically. Even the Mormons are now abandoning President George W. Bush's mad war. That's akin to the Swiss Guard deserting and leaving the pope to fend for himself with the Vatican under siege. (full story and 2 comments)

Malcolm Turnbull Manipulating the Oz Masses posted by nano, 2007-04-01 10:23:09
It’s confirmed, total panic grips Howard government over Hicks scandal! The novice Environment Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, has weighed in on the Hicks debate with a wild accusation inferring that Hicks was “.. seeking to destroy our civilisation.” -- what next? Turnbull's statement follows hot on the heels of the stratospheric logic (see link) displayed by the Federal Treasurer in his effort to save the government -- who's next? (full story and 1 comments)
