Conservative governments (marionettes of Corporate and Financial interests) have unanimously implemented 'new sweeping' [slogan] anti-terrorist and sedition laws to constrain and stifle dissent; conservatives can always be relied upon to implement the most lacklustre ‘solutions’! In characteristic mode they have resorted to Legislation in a futile attempt to silence dissenting and protesting ‘voices’. Legislation has always been the desperate final resort of all scoundrel governments and inept politicians. Nevertheless, the popular media remains unaffected by the new laws and continues to demonise, misrepresent, distort and omit details in order to present a ‘tailored reality’ to the public. The Australian Minister for Communications, Helen Coonan, buoyed by her recent success in eliminating media diversity in Oz is now targeting the most diverse (content) medium on the planet – the internet. Her latest comments (news radio) veil her real intentions (information control!) The only effective means of controlling the flow of information on the internet is filtering at backbone or provider level. The answer is blowing the Constitution and Bill of Rights out the window – the Triads, Mafia, Latino, Cuban groups and various South American drug cartels all have something to learn from Cheney and Bush; in fact, they look positively tame in comparison. When confronted with accusations (and proof) of murder, torture, theft/plunder, illegal surveillance, etc, on levels traditional organised crime could only dream of, what is the recourse of neo-cons? Legislate and change the Law (it’s an ass anyway). Simply legalise activities that were once considered crimes and criminalise those who oppose or disagree! There’s nothing that compares to stealing government – computerised voting, subterfuge, lies, fabricated terrorist threats and THE POWER TO LEGISLATE – it’s just too damn easy! (full story)

We have recently received some unverifiable information regarding a purported obsession shared by Mick Keelty of the AFP and the Attorney-General, Philip Ruddock. The information referred to the existence of a “missing category” of terrorists whose activities have been severely affecting the ability of regulatory authorities to adequately fulfil their social obligations. After a period of three years, sixteen U.S. intelligence agencies have finally determined the sky is blue, people have noses on their faces and that the illegal Iraq intervention increased the ‘terrorist’ threat – bravo! Republican POWs in Maghaberry Gaol will commence a 72-hour fast on Tuesday, 19th September. The situation in Maghaberry has now reached crisis point. A representative of the Archbishop of Armagh met with the prisoners last Tuesday, however conditions in the gaol have not improved.
The Republican Prisoners’ Action Group has organised a picket in Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, on Saturday, 23rd September at 1:30p.m. and calls on everyone to support the demands of the Republican prisoners.

Ratzinger’s highly inflammatory references to a previous crusading Pope’s diatribes against Islam were intended to inform the world that he has not forgotten his Nazi past, Ratzinger has left little doubt as to what he really represents – there is no cause for concern, however, as he is in ‘good’ company; neo-cons, Zionists and other ultra-conservative groups welcomed confirmation from the Pope that he is one of them.
