It really is too easy! Cynical social theorist, Leo Strauss, took the easy option. The masses should be ‘managed for their own good’ by benevolent, wise and intelligent, (SUPERIOR) ruling elites like dubya Bush, Rove, Cheney, Perle, Wolfowitz, Rice, Rumsfeld etc. – get the picture? With the financial system and the global economy in tatters and after European and Asian leaders agreed to overhaul the international financial system; the star-spangled parrot (president) spouted his learned lines. [Believe it or not] Bush called on the world to “recommit” to the “free market” system that caused the global economic crisis/collapse in the first instance -- astounding! Bush made the remarks while standing in the cow paddy that was once the American economy.
