What legal tidbits have made news recently? The appalling miscarriage of justice regarding the sentence handed down to a convicted civilian killing US marine, three months and no jail time! The offender was directly involved in the infamous Haditha massacre; women, children and other unarmed civilians were herded together and deliberately shot in the back of the head by murdering US marines. This travesty is but one of many involving the US military that routinely terrorise, rape and murder innocent civilians and others in occupied countries. (full story and 1 comments)

Let's begin at the beginning, Occupy as a 'movement' goes nowhere; from day one to today it has effected NO CHANGE whatsoever. Videos of PASSIVE idiots allowing themselves to be sprayed with mace by sadistic police is hardly a victorious 'look' is it, vacuum heads? What sort of (defeatist) MESSAGE do mindless Occupy morons think they're sending to the public? To date Occupy has achieved NOTHING, it was and remains a dead-in-the-water STATIC 'movement,' please excuse the American contradictions but I am describing an American protest movement! We should ask why Occupy has achieved nothing POSITIVE to date? The obvious answer would be because it has no agenda, direction or ARTICULATED OBJECTIVES. (full story)

Some years back a popular Australian 'socialist' leader, Gough Whitlam -- who was later deposed by the CIA -- took office against the odds using the slogan, "It's Time." The advertising agency that helped propel Whitlam to power would be pleased to learn that their slogan still packs a political punch and puts fear in the hearts of unrepresentative, minority governments. Australian banks are “restructuring” -- a euphemism for sacking workers no longer required by highly profitable banks – that’s right, the sackings are NOT the result of economic pressures. Banks are slowly displacing once valued and indispensible workers with computer programs.
