Former CEO of Goldman Sachs, Hank Paulson, is the hero of Wall Street’s hustlers and racketeers today -- he did it! Globalisation is not new it has been practised by European and Muslim Imperial powers for centuries. The African slave trade is perhaps the earliest example of economic globalisation. This dastardly trade was characterised by a number of separate nations and cultures cooperating to supply a valuable ‘resource’ around the globe – human beings commodified as SLAVE labour! I would emphasise that Christian and Muslim powers COOPERATED to enslave tribal Africans. (full story)

Recent events in the USA relating to the economic meltdown highlight the old cliché, ‘only in America’ … is the population so subservient, passive, afraid and compliant that it accepts flagrant corruption and racketeering from the financial, banking and business sectors. It is not enough that fat cats wreak havoc on the quality of (American) life -- the clueless, puppet government on orders from the ruling private sector expect the overburdened American public to shoulder the entire responsibility for bailing out the Robber Barons who have destroyed the economy. Al Capone stated at the time of his arrest that he was a small fry criminal, he referred to bankers, businessmen and government as the biggest criminals in the land. Capone learned from his experiences as a hoodlum and his SYMBIOTIC relationship with those 'respectable authorities' who actually ran crime in the USA – organised crime cannot exist without corrupt officials, dishonest bankers and unscrupulous businessmen. He rose to power in a stealthily-executed Bankster's Coup in which he, and his coterie of dodgy friends, declared martial law on the US economy while elevating himself to supreme leader. Today’s ‘democracies’ are government by the Corporations for the Corporations for the very privileged few! All of those tasks are now the responsibility of private military corporations. [The following article lists the secondary factors that have contributed to the demise of democracy in the 21st century. Democracy is a social phenomenon that lives or dies with the people/masses. No one can permanently steal democracy while the masses exist; however, as the article highlights it can be hijacked momentarily by criminal forces.

I was raised in a world where killing innocent women and children was considered the most heinous of crimes. Why are such acts tolerated today? Hundreds of thousands of children have died as a direct result of US policies and military interventions. However, it appears that in this ‘brave new world’ of Bush, Cheney and mindless ‘Paris Hiltons’ it is acceptable to kill women and children and suffer no serious consequences!
