Oz Mining Magnate Accuses CIA of Subverting Local Coal Industry posted by styx, 2012-03-20 01:51:11 In a refreshing conspiratorial twist, Oz mining multi-billionaire, Clive Palmer, has accused Greens leader, Bob 'poop pusher' Brown -- who is on record for supporting a 'One World Government' -- of treason and colluding with a foreign power (CIA) to undermine the local coal industry. Well, I'll be darned, it just goes to show that local Corporatist pigs want the entire trough for themselves. If I hadn't read it in the Oz mass media I would have thought it another whacko conspiracy theory, but Palmer may have something, he is certainly wealthy enough to dig for the facts. I guess the CIA will just have to follow procedure and arrange for Palmer to choke on a ham sandwich! (full story and 4 comments) environment / international
It's About Priorities posted by eve, 2012-02-21 20:51:17 War is NOT a priority, what is it good for, NOTHIN' ?
It serves minority criminal elites ONLY, at great cost to the planet and innocent human lives. It is TIME the people of the GLOBE learned that UNITY and friendly relations offer the only hope for future survival. AMERICA'S insatiable greed, permanent war doctrine and divisive ways are anathema to every living thing in this UNIVERSE -- make NO mistake, the plague on the planet that is indefinite detention, civilian killing, AMERICA must be ELIMINATED if the world hopes to live in peace, freedom and harmony. Doomsday Clock Running Slow posted by kronos, 2012-01-10 20:35:35 It seems scientists are concerned over the Doomsday clock gaining another minute to midnight (oblivion time). According to 'concerned' scientists it is now FIVE minutes to midnight! Now consider runaway climate change, massive extinctions, Corporate pollution at all time high, water table pollution with fracking and the mining of scarce arable land, to mention only a few doomsday scenarios and it makes you wonder who set the time? Citizen Surveillance -- UAV Drones Used for Positive Outcomes posted by staff report via reed, 2011-12-25 21:47:19 In stark contrast to the nefarious purposes to which the US military and the civilian murdering CIA deploy UAV Drone technology, we are pleased to report that the anti-whaling ship, Sea Shepherd, is utilising long range surveillance Drones to thwart Japanese whaling in our Southern Oceans. We should never forget that citizens developed all these new technologies and that talentless commercial and military organisations have utilised them for destructive purposes. Lying Nations -- Carbon Emissions HIGHEST on Record posted by staff report via snowy, 2011-12-06 05:23:18 Forget tipping point (exceeded years back) the latest stats indicate that no nation has been forthright regarding Carbon reduction programs nor will they ever be; the hard reality of short term expediency has overwhelmed the imperative of long term SURVIVAL -- an unfortunate/insane reality but REALITY nevertheless. All national/local ETS and Carbon Tax programs are now a misplaced policy joke an unnecessary tax burden. Carbon emissions are a GLOBAL problem that require a GLOBAL SOLUTION! Fukushima Will Blow -- Ongoing Cover-up posted by WB via stan, 2011-11-24 21:54:48 Fukushima is an ongoing HOT -- active fission -- nuclear disaster, which will easily exceed the devastation that the Chernobyl reactor caused.
Fukushima reactors could blow at any time, fact! The major crime here is not the criminal deception and frauds committed by Tepco Executives and Japanese politicians but the continuing nuclear pollution which is slowly but quietly being released into the environment, ground and sea, because Corporatists view it as the least expensive option! DuPont Poisons Western Sydney posted by Ben Cubby via baz, 2011-11-05 01:12:27 In the 60's DuPont and the US government wished to test DEADLY Sarin and Vx nerve gas on Aussie troops in QLD. PM, Harold Holt, wouldn't have a bar of it; Holt disappeared while skindiving soon after. Corporate controlled America took steps to ensure that only Washington compliant lackeys led Australian in the future; from Hawke/Keating through Howard, Rudd to the most servile US lackey of them all, Juliar 'Goldman Carbon Sachs' Gillard. Have a nice slave day, Oz! (full story and 2 comments) environment / national
Bankers and Corporations really 'care' [about THEIR profits] posted by eddy, 2011-09-22 08:45:37 Borderless, stateless Transnationals, corrupt and poison EVERYTHING they touch. They are rogue, stateless entities exploiting everything and answering to no one. Every war waged since the Balkan intervention has had Corporatists behind it. Millions of innocents have died so a few, profit only driven, psychopaths could turn a decadent buck.
In Australia Transnationals rape, plunder and POLLUTE OUR environment and then take over 80% of the profits offshore. They own our servile, 'Carbon Tax' politicians and continue to corrupt every level of government in the country. (full story) environment / international

Insects develop resistance to GM corn, humans have not! posted by Rady Ananda via sadh, 2011-08-28 22:08:00 Short lived, therefore fast adapting/mutating insects develop survival mechanisms very swiftly indeed; in contrast to 'higher' (if morals are a measure) mammalian life forms like humans. Insects have it all over us as survivors and given the present destructive, suicidal course humanity is taking, they would surely inherit the earth. (full story) environment / international
