Wikileaks Soldier Reveals "360 Rotational Fire" Orders to Kill Civilians posted by Ralph Lopez via gan, 2010-06-18 20:53:49
We can thank the arrogant, inept yanks for making plain the REAL state of political ‘play’ today; the USA is now, and has been for some decades, completely controlled by Banks, Corporations and Global Transnationals – as are most other western ‘democracies.’ With that FACT now firmly established by a PENTAGON release of a mineral wealth commercial assessment for invaded Afghanistan, it is now impossible to view American invasive warfare as anything other than what it is, criminal appropriation, mass murder and PLUNDER. A direct link to the culpable has also been established; a bold line of responsibility connects today's wars with the Boardrooms of the largest Corporations of the World. [Dragging reprehensible, murdering, psychopathic EXECUTIVES to the gallows, after due legal process, would be a MATTER OF COURSE -- inevitable!] Ed. (full story)

Corporate Rule: Proof Irrefutable posted by major mitchell, 2010-06-14 22:41:27
The now anachronistic ‘Department of Defense’ (DoD) recently released a commercial business assessment (see link) of Afghanistan's resource and mineral wealth, which has been measured in the hundreds of BILLIONS of DOLLARS -- a routine matter for Corporations BUT an extraordinary assessment by the Pentagon, which traditionally should be an arm of government charged with the responsibility of national security and defense! Perhaps a name change for the obsolete traditional military is warranted, how about the ‘Department of Greed and Invasion or Civilian Killing and Holocausts or Resource Plundering and Theft etc;’ I’m sure readers could offer hundreds more accurate titles for the obscenity that has occurred these past few days? Iran and the Balkans: Russia Risks Making the Same Mistakes posted by Pyotr Iskenderov via dragan, 2010-06-12 20:39:29
The recent UN Security Council resolution slapping new sanctions on Iran is likely to become the worst defeat suffered by the Russian diplomacy over the past years. Its negative impact may be persistent and more serious than that of the proclamation of Kosovo's independence to which Russia continues objecting. What we are witnessing seems to be an unexpected recurrence of the syndrome of unilateral concessions to the West which eroded Russia's international politics, especially its Balkan part, in the 90's. Following the Western lead in dealing with Iran, Russia is risking to lose both its positions in a region much more extensive than the Balkans and its hard-earned key role in the raising multipolar world. Kyrgyzstan And The Battle For Central Asia posted by Rick Rozoff via reed, 2010-04-08 07:41:49
Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev was deposed five years after and in the same manner as he came to power, in a bloody uprising. Elected president two months after the so-called Tulip Revolution of 2005 he helped engineer, he was since then head of state of the main transit nation for the U.S. and NATO war in Afghanistan. How Does a Corporation Speak? posted by William A Cohn via reed, 2010-02-18 18:04:24
A corporation speaks by clear-cutting old-growth forests, by dumping pollutants in our communities and denying care for our elders, by off-shoring to avoid paying taxes, and by outsourcing and eliminating jobs. This inanimate Frankenstein constructed by law now enjoys vast legal and constitutional rights which it wields against humans, animals and nature. (full story and 1 comments)

Goldman Sachs: it's not Greek to me! posted by Robert Scheer via quin, 2010-02-18 05:35:30
“What is this Goldman Sachs and why has it caused us so much grief?” is a question they must be asking in even the most remote of Greek villages, as they are throughout much of this economically troubled world. The Greek financial scandal in which Goldman Sachs stands accused of selling dubious derivatives that concealed enormous government debt has sent the Greek economy and European markets into a tailspin. But that’s just part of a made-in-the-USA banking hustle that has haunted folks at home and abroad. (full story)

Secret Banking Cabal Emerges From AIG Shadows posted by David Reilly via reed, 2010-02-01 07:50:38
The idea of secret banking cabals that control the country and global economy are a given among conspiracy theorists who stockpile ammo, bottled water and peanut butter. After this week’s congressional hearing into the bailout of American International Group Inc., you have to wonder if those folks are crazy after all. (full story)

[US] Corporate military 'secures' Palace grounds, Haiti Disasters are Big Business posted by William Bowles via stan, 2010-01-22 13:13:10
I am staggered. There are 10,000 ‘NGOs’ (Non-Governmental Organizations) in Haiti, one for every 900 inhabitants and each one of them has no doubt at least one Westerner working within, yet aside from the Cuban health workers, it seems they could do nothing until the gringos arrived with their Blackhawks and nuclear-tipped aircraft carrier and of course, the 82nd Airborne, paying yet another ‘visit’ to this benighted and super-exploited land to ’secure’ the place for the locust storm of aid to come (too late for too many). Anglo Aussies line harbour foreshore to catch a glimpse of ‘Royalty’ posted by morgan, 2010-01-19 22:42:19
In a scene reminiscent of the 50’s, Anglo-Aussies lined the Sydney harbour foreshore to get a glimpse of pommy Royalty; Republic anyone? In an extraordinary display of national infantilism and lack of identity, hundreds of vacuum-headed Australians, with no memory of the past or our early horrendous history, celebrated the appearance of a man directly descended from those responsible for inflicting so much grief and pain onto the Aborigines and early convict settlers!
