WAKE UP! posted by yarra, 2007-12-04 18:25:44
I was in the process of writing the future of the world on a pinhead when that quarter-brain Bush appeared on TV accusing other nations of threatening world peace – hold it right there! The two most aggressive, invasive and murderous nations today are clearly Israel and the USA – the civilian death toll is evidence of the fact! (full story)

DARPA seeks network firing ranges for cyber weaponry posted by Lewis Page via Kismo, 2007-12-03 21:13:24
DARPA (Defence Advanced Research Project Agency), the Pentagon battle-boffins who would rather bet on a long shot than eat their dinners, are looking for the computer-net equivalent of a firing range or exercise training area. (full story)

Blake's depiction Free and fair elections, a circus! posted by finch, 2007-12-03 12:05:20
The world has entered a new phase of political charades; you may have heard the platitude, “free and fair [democratic] elections” – that slogan, along with spreading democracy, was incessantly repeated as the second justification for the Iraq invasion/occupation. The WMD lie had served its purpose it was time to move on to the next phase of the planned takeover of Middle East energy resources. But first we should trace a brief history of the charade called ‘free and fair elections.’ (full story and 1 comments)

Digger in Afghanistan Exiting Oz PM leaves his mark on ADF posted by major mitchell, 2007-12-01 12:14:53
An age old Indian adage states, ‘regardless of how careful or skilled, if one is confined to a room with soot covered walls for a long period of time, some is sure to rub off!’ After 11 years of Howard’s cowardly leadership it seems the above adage has proven true for the ADF! I am extremely ashamed to report that Australian Defence Forces have killed two women and a child while on ‘operations’ in Afghanistan. (full story)

Moral Victory on offer: will Australia take the challenge or Cringe? posted by nano, 2007-11-24 08:54:56
The world is at a crossroads today, NOW! The conservative criminals who are responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent men, women and CHILDREN in the Middle East and Iraq MUST be held to account if the world would survive in a new era of co-operation as opposed to destruction and senseless antagonism. John Howard -- brazen war criminal Brother’s Keeper posted by fish, 2007-11-23 13:21:18
John ‘psychopath’ Bolton and Condi ‘give war a chance’ Rice, introduced the world to U.S. SANCTIONED INFANTICIDE during the South Lebanon conflict, notwithstanding the ongoing infanticide DENIAL in Iraq. Over one million children have been killed and maimed in Iraq as a direct result of invasive, violent, western intervention. However, the world not only tolerates this most heinous of all crimes IT PARTICIPATES by failing to bring the known criminals to justice. (full story and 2 comments)

Kosovo: declaring unilateral independence – WAR! posted by dusan, 2007-11-20 23:40:26
The utter folly of it all! Western (NATO/US) forces are so desperate to destroy what is left of Yugoslavia they blind themselves to the real consequences and costs of their short term actions. Any fool can see the cost outweighs the perceived benefit – it just isn’t worth it! (full story)

Rice -- holocaust indifference According to plan posted by peptide, 2007-10-29 23:08:11
Debate is raging at the moment over the prospect of the US attacking Iran -- as if there is any doubt! Of course the US will attack Iran. People forget the Bush administration is following a plan; insane though it may be the administration has not veered from it one iota. The plan was formulated by none other than the same lunatics who formulated the PNAC doctrine; a wishful, Disneyland, ‘pan-Americana’ dream, which would be just another Marvel comic book plot except for the ‘minor’ fact of an ongoing REAL holocaust in Iraq. Bush's plan to spend away the terror posted by Simon Tisdall via rialator, 2007-10-23 23:22:15
Planned US spending on the "global war on terror" is set to rise sharply in the coming year despite claims by President George Bush that al-Qaida is on the run in Iraq. A funding request sent to Congress this week seeks $196.4bn (£95.8bn) for counter-terrorism in 2007-8, $25bn up on this year. The Pentagon's separate budget request amounts to an additional $481.4bn. The Real Masters of War posted by zoran, 2007-10-20 00:22:13
Consider the very real possibility of a persecuted European nation waging a covert guerilla war against the most powerful forces on the planet and prevailing. Many would be surprised to learn that the real masters of war are the most unlikely nations. The three nations proven to excel in covet, guerilla wars of attrition are Afghanistan, Serbia and Vietnam – the historical record bears this out. Not surprisingly these nations have been at war for most of their history – not by choice but by circumstance. It seems their strategic locations have doomed them to a history of constant struggle and conflict; and nothing has changed today! (full story and 1 comments)

Lt. Watada Watada: What's a (thoughtful) lieutenant to do? posted by Dean Paton via rialator, 2007-10-19 14:04:31
OCT 5 2007 -- Let's assume Lt. Col. John Head, the Army judge who presided over the first court-martial of Lt. Ehren Watada last February, used impeccable legal reasoning when he denied Watada the right to insist that the war in Iraq is illegal -- which, the young soldier says, makes it his sworn duty to protect the Constitution by refusing to fight in such a war. 'Only Unity Saves the Serbs' NATO attempts to revive old enmities in Balkans posted by Milan, 2007-10-19 12:34:45
NATO has recently completed joint military exercises with the non-member country of CROATIA. The scenario of the exercises was based on a military action against a ‘breakaway Balkan province’ – give us all a break! This pathetic attempt to revive old enmities between Balkan states and perhaps to utilise Croatia to do the dirty work recalls the very ‘chequered’ history of Croatia’s complicity with Hitler’s Nazis and the war crimes committed by fascist Croats against Serbs.
