Following hot on the heels of the Dalai Lama’s flagrant, hypocritical, political pursuits against China, the Catholic Pope – who gets by with a helping ‘hand’ from his friends – has updated the seven deadly sins. (full story)

Ustashe fascist, Gen. Ante Gotovina War Crimes Trial Begins for Croatian General Who Worked With Americans posted by Marlise Simons via rialator, 2008-03-11 19:27:10
PARIS — A popular Croatian general who led a brutal operation that drove the Serbs out of Eastern Croatia near the end of the Balkans war went on trial in The Hague on Tuesday for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Gen. Ante Gotovina, working closely with American advisers, was the commander of a military campaign in the summer of 1995 that put an end to the Serbian occupation of Eastern Croatia and forced more than 150,000 Serbs to flee towns and villages where they had lived for generations. Balkans at crisis point posted by dusan, 2008-03-10 22:35:41
Washington and its western allies are shitting themselves over the prospect of Serbia asserting its inalienable right over its territories after the formation of a new Serbian government. Whether the west chooses to label Serbs nationalists, liberals, hardliners or brigands is irrelevant – Serbs will never give up Kosovo! Try and understand it is impossible to give up what makes you what you are! Even the thought of losing Kosovo fills Serbs with shame and intolerable humiliation. (full story)

Torturer and Hypocrite The Dalai Lama’s religious hypocrisy equals the best of the West posted by finch, 2008-03-10 09:45:22
Fresh from receiving honours and a gold medal from the world’s most brazen mass murderer and torturer, George W Bush, the exiled Dalai Lama of Tibet has begun another round of China-bashing, which he obviously timed for the approaching Beijing Olympics. Why they call this man a religious leader is beyond rational comprehension. The Dalai Lama today is 100% political and could care less which devil he sleeps with in order to achieve his goals! Digital underbelly of the World posted by Kismo, 2008-03-09 10:15:09
The crews laugh at times at the lack of expertise displayed by western government agencies in the area of IT security. The Internet belongs to those with the greatest level of skill and there is no shortage of it ‘out there’ – crews, teams and individuals -- but sadly very little real talent ‘in there,’ moronic government agencies and corporations. No real hacker could tolerate an office/fixed environment for more then a day or so! It is the nature of the beast and the environment in which it lives. (full story)

Take a good look at my face! posted by nano, 2008-03-08 19:41:52
Propaganda has largely replaced news in the modern world; this is particularly the case with regimes that flout law, civil liberties and humanitarian issues. Occasionally the news cannot be manipulated contorted or dressed in fine lies to make it palatable. This is the case with torture. (full story and 1 comments)

Doodle dandy out of intellectual depth in Europe posted by zoran, 2008-03-07 20:53:20
Daniel Fried, the US assistant secretary of state for European affairs, is definitely an American and has the ‘intellectual ability’ to prove it. Addressing the press in the Serbian province of Kosovo, Fried said, “[Kosovo] independence is a fact. This is a reality. History is only going to move forward!" [My emphasis]

Temporal, philosophical, historical and general intellectual incompetence aside for the moment; Fried’s staggeringly stupid comment clearly exhibits the agitation experienced in Washington over the mess it has created in the Balkans! (full story and 2 comments)

Clinton and Obama The two winners of the 2008 presidential election: fear and war posted by Larry Chin via reed, 2008-03-07 07:09:28
The 2008 US presidential charade has already been decided. Come November, the next White House occupant (who will be installed via political malfeasance, computer vote theft and other election “irregularities”) will be the puppet who proves to be the most effective in echoing Bush-Cheney’s “war on terrorism” lies, and expanding the Bush-Cheney “national security” agenda. Kosovo without the Lies posted by captain amerika, 2008-03-06 21:08:05
78 days of US/NATO bombing on Yugoslavia was specifically designed to separate Kosovo from the Yugoslav/Serbian State. An oil and gas pipeline corridor planned for the ‘western’ Balkans was and is the primary factor/reason for Western intervention in the Balkans. (full story)

Howard and Rudd, the rodent and the flea! Of Fleas and Rodents posted by dingo, 2008-03-06 05:06:48
Hard reality hasn’t deterred our lying little rodent, John Howard. Addressing a conservative ‘think tank’ in Washington Howard slammed the Rudd government for reversing his economic policies and labour ‘reforms.’ The ‘small matter’ of the largest foreign debt in Australia’s history -- incurred under Howard and Costello -- was conveniently ignored by our lying rodent, Johnny. Here’s a taste of REALITY Mr Howard – $610 BILLION hangs over the head of the nation like a guillotine thanks to you and Costello! Who do you trust, indeed, you reprehensible LIAR! (full story)

NATO/EU hypocrisy and the demonisation of Serbs posted by Ljiljana Smajlovic via rialator, 2008-03-05 07:30:56
BELGRADE, Serbia -- As editor-in-chief of Serbia's oldest and most prestigious daily newspaper, Politika, I am at a loss to explain the West's stubborn support for Kosovo independence to my readers. Only nine years ago, my country was bombed for 78 days by the most powerful military alliance the world has ever seen, and the last thing I want is to pour oil over the fire of anti-Western sentiment. But the truth is, I find myself grappling with the same bitterness and resentment as most of my countrymen. (full story and 2 comments)

Kevin Rudd -- do something! Rudd government sets new low posted by barra, 2008-03-04 19:27:04
Previous Oz governments defined themselves with action – sometimes to the detriment of the nation but they all had a go!

The previous PM, has earned his place in Oz history for economic irresponsibility; the national debt is now running at a staggering $610 billion; cowardice, for his servility to the USA; racism, an antiquated colonial tradition; and criminal deceit, for dragging the nation into an illegal, war/holocaust in Iraq! Jose Ramos-Horta A “lucid” Ramos-Horta calls for investigation posted by finn, 2008-03-03 22:21:21
It is clear from the few statements made by the now conscious Ramos-Horta that he either has no recollection (prolonged induced coma) of events surrounding his shooting or he has been fed erroneous information. The possibility he has been coerced also remains high. (full story and 1 comments)
