John Howard charged with war crimes posted by nano, 2008-06-01 21:57:10
ABC news radio today reported that a group of Australian citizens, inclusive of academics, lawyers and other professionals, lodged a submission to the ICC to have former PM, John Howard, charged with war crimes for his participation in the illegal invasion of Iraq. Howard with cohorts Bush and Blair, formed the so-called ‘coalition of the willing;’ a rogue alliance that acted against the correct advice of the UN and in violation of numerous international conventions relating to pre-emptive warfare. Rudd’s avoidance of major issues hits new high! posted by junior, 2008-06-01 02:26:08
Kevin Rudd’s now pathological avoidance of the major issues facing Australia has hit a new, if not absurd, high! Facing the wholesale rape of our nation’s natural resources by Transnational mining companies; the worst drought on record; rapidly escalating fuel costs; the failure of free-market capitalism and a geopolitically, inappropriate relationship with a failing superpower, what is Rudd’s response? He ‘tackles’ the earth-shattering crisis of childhood obesity and launches an attack on a world renowned Australian Artist! But we should all be grateful for small mercies; the upside is he hasn't declared war on ingrown toenails! (full story and 1 comments)

Sydney’s ‘thought crime’ raids posted by yarra, 2008-05-16 12:39:23
Remember the ‘new sweeping terrorist laws’ the previous conservative Howard government instituted? New draconian laws the current (useless) Rudd government is happy to leave in place. The conservatives felt obliged to emulate America and introduce police state laws though the nation had not suffered any direct terrorist attacks. Civil liberties groups and other concerned citizens protested vehemently regarding intrusions on personal liberties, privacy, and the new draconian/intrusive powers accorded law enforcement agencies, which could easily be abused! Australia, remember? posted by major mitchell, 2008-05-05 22:16:31
Australia is making a weak gesture to remember its once proud rebel fighting past. Furnished with a cringing government grant of $120,000, archaeologists are undertaking a dig at Glenrowan, the site of Ned Kelly’s last stand against colonial oppressors and the corrupt authorities of the time. They hope to unearth new artefacts and solve some popular folk legends that Kelly's brother escaped the siege. It is encouraging that Australia -- now in the most cowardly phase of its history -- reminds itself that it once possessed a fearless, indomitable, fighting, INDEPENDENT spirit. Haneef Inquiry: a toothless tiger posted by yarra, 2008-04-30 00:44:09
The Haneef inquiry has adopted the political strategy of the current Oz PM, Kevin ‘poseur’ Rudd. Ring those ‘bells,’ blow those ‘whistles’ but for God’s sake don’t actually DO ANYTHING to threaten the status quo! After months of inaction on the important issues it may prove revealing to contrast the style of the previous (despicable) Howard government with Rudd and his mob of no-hopers! (full story)

The ‘right royals’ posted by dingo, 2008-04-25 22:21:26
At times we Aussies, usually for a number of reasons, get ‘the right royal shits’ and this is one of those ‘fuck everything’ days – everyone should have one, the therapeutic benefits are immeasurable! But to return to the causative factors: Australia’s hollow PM, Kevin Rudd, was in his element yesterday performing before the media at one of the nation’s most enduring and FORMATIVE commemorative ceremonies – ANZAC day. U.S. errand boy, Kevin Rudd, returns to Oz posted by nano, 2008-04-13 03:47:56
Our globe trotting PM has returned home after making no positive impact in world affairs, however, our Kevin did manage to aggravate China and offend Japan – well done, Kevin! Our media darling PM did arouse the curiosity of some unimportant commentators; who was this curious mandarin speaking oddity from Australia and what real impact did he hope to effect on the world reading from an American script? Rejected youths internalising abuse Australia’s unforgivable crime: homeless and rejected youth posted by budgie, 2008-04-07 21:29:55
It need not be emphasised that a society’s most precious resource is its next generation. In affluent societies disproportionate increases in youth homelessness is unforgivable and represents the most reprehensible failure of government social policy. (full story)

.. yes Sir, three bags full .. Australian kiss-arse politics posted by barra, 2008-04-04 17:50:11
If anyone harboured any doubts regarding Australia’s CONTINUING role as sycophantic, servile, cringing, lackey to America, doubt no more. Rudd confirmed ‘our’ position at the recent NATO summit with a subservient salute to his commander, George W Bush. It was tragic and amusing to see pipsqueak Rudd, clearly out of his depth in Europe, chasing the bully of the class for comfort! (full story)

Ramos-Horta interviewed on ABC posted by budgie, 2008-03-27 08:58:22
An Australian current affairs program, ‘Lateline,’ featured an interview with the convalescing President of Timor-Leste last night. However, very little in the way of new information was forthcoming. Either the President, Jose Ramos-Horta, was intentionally withholding information or he has little new knowledge to offer regarding the attempt on his life. (full story)

Super Hornet -- super disgrace! posted by barra, 2008-03-17 20:47:52
The only minister in the present Australian Labor government who displayed any integrity or spine has backflipped on the purchase of the Super Hornet jet fighters from America – what a thorough travesty and disgusting reversal! It is a matter of public record that the Super Hornet is inferior to the Jet Fighters purchased by Indonesia from the Russians -- at considerably less cost I would add. (full story and 1 comments)

Kevin Rudd: ask any prancer! posted by dingo, 2008-03-13 22:50:20
The new Australian PM is proving himself to be a major letdown, disappointment, non-event; a man of the status quo UNABLE TO HANDLE THE BIG ISSUES! A man defined and managed by big business, especially the financial and mining sectors, the two sectors responsible for wreaking havoc on the economy and environment! (full story and 1 comments)

Kevin Rudd -- do something! Rudd government sets new low posted by barra, 2008-03-04 19:27:04
Previous Oz governments defined themselves with action – sometimes to the detriment of the nation but they all had a go!

The previous PM, has earned his place in Oz history for economic irresponsibility; the national debt is now running at a staggering $610 billion; cowardice, for his servility to the USA; racism, an antiquated colonial tradition; and criminal deceit, for dragging the nation into an illegal, war/holocaust in Iraq! Thoroughly incompetent Oz politicians warring over defence contracts posted by dingo, 2008-02-26 10:28:09
There is an old saying familiar to most cultures, “shit floats,” and it’s a whopping great turd that has hit the surface in relation to Australia’s defence spending.

The current minister of defence, Joel Fitzgibbon, has rightly opened the ‘book’ on the incompetence of the previous conservative government’s politically driven, as opposed to practical, defence purchases. (full story)

ASIO director, Paul 'chimp' O'Sullivan ASIO recruitment ‘drive’ posted by peptide, 2008-02-25 10:35:54
I was recently informed – I somehow missed the original release -- that Australia’s spook agency is recruiting. Everything immediately fell into place when I saw the salary range for the position of “ASIO Officer grade 3,” which was unashamedly advertised in the local primate press as ranging from $49,280 – $53,100 (plus superannuation and shift allowances) wow! And we wondered why the nation has gone to wrack and ruin. (full story)
