There were 300 Spartans bathed in myth and then there were 160 real Aussie fighting men of extraordinary valour and bravery. A swing of 7% against the government in the Gippsland by-election sends a clear and strong message to non-event PM, Kevin ‘bereft’ Rudd. The average swing against an incumbent government is around 4%; not only have the people kicked Rudd where it hurts but it is looks like Rudd will be kicked right out of the Lodge before or after his first term -- a very dubious distinction for a Labor leader. Everyone except Rudd and his imbecile media advisers see the writing on the lavatory wall. Australian government since former PM John Howard surrendered the nation to the Corporations is only a meaningless body going through motions and parading as though government actually mattered. The current Murdoch approved Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, constrained by the Corporations, is too frightened to force them to return a fair percentage of their obscene profits to the nation for essential infrastructure and other essential services. Howard implemented policies that have created the widest disparities in wealth distribution in the nation’s history. Some banking executives enjoy salaries in the tens of millions ($35m) while average Aussies receive $45K for their efforts – hooray for Johnny, give him a medal, you mindless, moronic sheep!
