The justification the Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, offers families and the Australian public for the needless deaths of our servicemen in Afghanistan is that al-Qaeda attacked ‘his’ ally the USA! Al-Qaeda is Bin Laden’s organisation; they are clearly not Afghanis! The people responsible for actions against western occupation forces in Afghanistan are Afghanis; the same tribal groups that fought Alexander the Great and Imperial Britain. The propaganda offered by western occupation forces to justify wars of plunder, land acquisition and occupation convinces only the feeble minded. None of it justifies the cost – in human lives – of the current occupation. This particularly applies to Australia, which is so far removed from Afghanistan that all attempts at justification meet with sneers and incredulity. (full story)

Jose Ramos-Horta, President of Timor-Leste, has formally requested the bank and phone records of assassinated rebel leader, Alfredo Reinado, which are currently held by Australian authorities. But that information has so far been withheld from the president of Timor-Leste! In other words, Australian occupiers refuse to furnish information to the president of the occupied nation; an ‘action’ which certainly removes all doubts regarding East Timor’s sovereignty and independence. In the most flagrant manner possible the Roman Catholic Pope, as if to compete with the recent brazen hypocrisy of the Dalai Fraud, ended a speech in the U.S. with Bush’s favourite concluding remark, “God bless America” – suck, suck! We are aware religious leaders live sheltered lives but the civilian death toll in Iraq, now exceeding one million, with an additional four million displaced persons and a totally ruined state, is difficult for even a Pope to ignore! The totalitarian leaning Australian government announced today that it would legislate to allow ‘employers/bosses’ to read the emails and other digital communications of their employees. A ‘slight’ intrusion on personal liberties to say the bloody least – perhaps staff should read managements’ emails to maintain a security balance! Who is watching the watchers? No one of course! This strategy is unadulterated totalitarian poison, designed to alienate and engender mistrust and division among employees and make them more amenable to their employer’s control. The feeble excuse offered the Australian public for this unacceptable intrusion is maintaining “national security.” Not so, Ms Stasi Gillard! (full story)

It seems our pipsqueak leader has forgotten his primary responsibility of promoting and pursuing Australian interests. Daddy America came first with Howard and Rudd is nothing if not a Howard clone.
