Issue or Distraction - International Mass Media

[Leo Strauss, Jewish émigré from Nazi Germany, held the view that the people are not capable of determining their own course; he favoured hierarchical social models in which small ruling elites managed the masses (for their own ‘good’). In order to harness and manipulate the masses Strauss advocated the use of deception and the politics of fear. His two most infamous students are Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Perle, rabid Zionists and the two principal architects of the Iraq invasion. The lies that led to this illegal, pre-emptive war are now a matter of public record. It is unfortunate that Strauss paid little attention to methods of escaping the wrath of the people when the machinations and lies of ruling ‘elites’ have been exposed – certain individuals now have nowhere to run.

The reader will note that Wolfowitz abandoned ‘ship’ to the relative safety of the Presidency of the World Bank and the usually vociferous Perle, is noted by his silence/absence. We wish these two criminals the best of Jewish luck – unverified information indicates that a price may have been placed on their heads. Analysts would cite the failure of Law as the principal reason certain forces have take matters into their own hands.

The US administration is its own worst enemy – one would be extremely hard pressed to cite a single redeeming act implemented by the Bush government. Every involvement and policy decision whether on the domestic or international fronts has been a disaster. The world’s most affluent nation will soon feel the (catastrophic) effects of an eight thousand trillion-dollar international debt. The fool’s paradise is about to receive a rude shock/awakening – but I digress.]

A typical example of ‘distraction’ strategy recently appeared on Australian television. The ‘special’, dealing with DNA codes and racial characteristics in humans, followed sensationalist media models, pure formula, no substance. However, in the new Howard racist Australia, the attention grabbing potential this 'special' possessed did not go unnoticed by programmers.

The conclusion reached by the ‘special’ was that no race specific genetic codes existed! Forums went crazy, one comment avalanched into dozens. We need to pause here and realise that the real issue is NOT race! A wider view reveals that ratings, programming, advertising profits and political distraction drew the attention of the viewing public away from the crucial issues of famine, starvation, inequity, pollution, global warming, exploitation, wars and innocent civilians dying for the profit of the few. These are the issues that require our unwavering attention but other interests would rather we concern ourselves with meaningless emotive distractions while they plunder and destroy our planet.

The Australian reader would also note that on each occasion the Howard government wished to push one of its unpopular bills through the senate, ads relating to female abuse saturated the air-waves! This is no coincidence, local consultants to government would not be so stupid as to attempt a transparent stunt like the recent ‘Bin Laden’ tape, but the tactics are ALL Straussian – some more polished than others. All these tactics serve to highlight the condescending contempt that conservative governments display toward their respective populations.

When confronted by irrelevant emotive stimuli pause and question the timing and the relationship it doesn’t have with real issues, then ask yourself who stands to benefit? A helpful antidote to Straussian and other distracting tactics is to hold firmly in mind the image of a starving child or a polluted earth, perhaps the dead bodies of families mistakenly blown to pieces; whatever is for you the reality of existence as opposed to inane distractions that numb the discriminative faculties.

Conservative governments always seek to divide; the principal methods they utilise are well known: tribalism/nationalism/race, religion/ideology, fascination/sex/desire, fear/loathing/terror – these are the major divisive factors that affect societies. The above list also reveals, by polar opposition, what conservative governments fear most; an undivided population with eyes fixed firmly on those (elites) that rule!

There is a battle raging that you do not see – it is the battle for your mind. Would you invite strangers and thieves to despoil your home, rape your families and bind you into slavery? If not, why would you surrender your mind and self-determination to exactly those same forces?

An undivided human race is what ruling elites fear; the enemy is not who you have been taught to hate, it is those groups/individuals who would attempt to divide and label our brothers and sisters as the enemy. The last violent show on earth should be the ruling elites of all nations in one stadium armed with sticks – with the whole world watching, would they bludgeon each other to death or defer to non-violence. Regardless of their choice, these are the same cowards who never hesitate to send you to your death to satisfy their aims.

If you would save your life (and the planet) never allow yourselves to be distracted; Gandhi, Martin Luther King and others, were nothing without the support and singular purpose of the people. March on your Capital and remind the criminals in power that their fate is in your hands. It is the unified singular purpose of the people that reforms societies. Converge on the Capital and demonstrate the will to freedom, unity and the justice that cannot be bought. Never lose focus of the real issues that confront modern life. March without leaders or followers, a single body moving with single purpose. If the mass media attempts to feed off the signs and symbols of the event – supply none other than to raise your right arm and index finger high – if questioned regarding the meaning of that gesture respond only with a smile.

Divisionism is death.

We are One.
