MADNESS
by finch Saturday, Jun 3 2006, 7:00am
international / social/political / opinion/analysis

The lack of skill and the madness of US Military personnel has once again made headlines. The latest exposed atrocity committed by US forces is the massacre of twenty-four innocent civilians (including women and children) in Haditha, Iraq. Little wonder that ineptitude and lack of expertise is displayed at the end of the chain of command when the top of the chain displays the greater degree of incompetence. But the most profound madness is exhibited as the inaction of the people of the USA. The madness of paralysis in the face of criminal government; the madness of inaction against the subversion of the Constitution of the United States; the madness of lost civil liberties without a struggle or insurrection. MADNESS has permeated every layer of society, from the top to the bottom, throughout the entire culture the disease is easily identified. MADNESS is the USA TODAY!

It is easy to treat friends in a fair and kind manner but we are judged by how we treat our enemies; the moral character of a nation is measured by the depths to which it would sink when confronting destructive forces. Today, the moral lowlands belong to the USA, its mad leadership and the mad people that it represents. That is the reality to DENY this week, America.

The immediate jailing of Wolfowitz, Perle, Rumsfeld, Rice, Cheney, Bush and others is not only warranted it's imperative. All signatories to the insane PNAC project must either be interned in mental institutions or confined indefinitely in penitentiaries. Safely incarcerated, they can compete for world domination with all the other Napoleons, Caesars and Alexanders. Professional staff are extremely familiar with these cases and are happy to accommodate delusory behaviour. There are always baskets to weave and ample amounts of playdough to build fortifications. Better these pursuits for the mentally ill than allow the sick to jeopardise innocent human lives in the real world.

With each day that passes thousands more people worldwide are added to those who already deplore and reject the star-spangled lunacy that infects the civilised world.

A call to sanity is overdue; it is time to WAKE UP? The present ugly reality is the direct result of unchecked madness. A culture steeped in fear offers no refuge or safe haven; no peace is found in religions that support a lunatic as President. The experiment has failed, it would be prudent to restore traditional values and revert to stable and sound government. Further delay in restoring sanity to the land may force the civilised world to intervene for the greater good. Do not hesitate when confronting madness; eliminate the malignancy before the world is forced to act.

The civilised world has not lost its wits or the means to cure the problem. It cannot wait to see what ‘irrationality’ may bring tomorrow!

The above is not only good advice it is a timely warning.

It is sincerely hoped that America is not lost to the death wishes of mad old men and other assorted idiots.

Peace.

American Madness

Couldn't agree more; total insanity reigns.

However, I have to ask: What is it you think we can do? I'm talking practical, here. Exactly who has the authority to arrest the entire administration of this country? Our Constitution doesn't spell that out. Our founding forebears never anticipated this coup.

And if we can answer that question, how exactly would a person get access to the persons we wish to arrest?

After all, Bush is technically Commander in Chief, and he is surrounded by Secret Service guards at all times, as are the others. The law enforcers take orders from him. The primary legislative body in the U.S., Congress, is disinclined to act -- the majority are on his side -- and so is the Supreme Court.

Setting aside the fact that the mass media are virtually all corporate-owned and supporters of this administration, the vast majority of the people in this country do not know what is going on, because they do not have hours every day to dig up and read all the real information on the Internet.

So speaking for myself, I would appreciate practical suggestions. A lot of us are already doing a great job of beating ourselves up. However, we don't happen to be the ones who voted this lunatic into office.

You are not alone in your need to research and develop viable strategies in today's world.

If you would care to peruse the site and read some material you may indeed find something to suit your needs. There have been many excellent contributions relating to strategies and theories.

I would add that painted faces and pantomime do not necessarily make for a strong protest/resistance movement!

The success of past movements and today's failures largely relate to the modern temperament not strategy. It is sustained WILL that moves the 'mountain', not part-time protests/movements.

At the heart of a failed movement you will always find lack of commitment.

Sun tzu, "Art of War" and Lao Tzu, "Tao De Ching", have not been superseded in thousands of years.

Coincidentally, China is on the rise and America is in (rapid) decline, thanks to the Bush regime.

All best in your endeavours,
Kwang zi
