Storming the Bastille and Direct Action
by nano Tuesday, Mar 14 2006, 11:46am
international / social/political / article

It should now be apparent to all that the usual strategies have proven ineffective against the ultra-right of today. The reasons are clear; the right is playing hard, fast and bold while the opposition is lost in analysis and navel gazing. ‘Storming the Bastille’ may again be required to precipitate change. Demos, alternative media, various forms of dissenting propaganda have all failed to alter the course of events. It would seem that while one side is playing hardball (for keeps) the other is content to fossick on the shores of world-shaping politics.

in(X)ternalisation – Vietnam, 1963

The antiquated, irrelevant and redundant socialist left continues to plan the ‘overthrow’ of ruling elites with failed formulas based on class while the anarcho youth successfully organise demos at selected events. These demos have succeeded in gaining some media attention but that is all. In the face of monumental bungles by the Bush government, Iraq debacle, illegal detention and the glaring illegalities perpetrated on the domestic (spying) front, no determined opposition can be detected. It's full steam ahead for the neo-cons and their allies – an astounding situation in view of recent American history.

In the world of politics and war failure to take advantage of an opponent’s weaknesses is unforgivable and often proves to be extremely costly. The time for soft (or pretend) action is over; a dramatic SUSTAINED push is required to catalyse a larger more effective CONTINUOUS momentum/movement. In other words, a total focused commitment is required to challenge those who are fanatically committed to their ultra-conservative cause.

The cringing collectives of socialists must become a vanguard of unified fighters that lead by example or face the hard reality that they are nothing but timid cowards and social club dilettantes. The anarcho youth must streamline their activities and sustain a directed assault on a SPECIFIC target rather than the occasional demo against constantly changing targets – part-time fickle activism is for students, adolescents and bourgeois dabblers, whereas anarchism is RELENTLESS.

The opportunities in today’s digital age are tremendous but have no yet been fully exploited. The digital age has effectively broken down international borders and barriers; however, the people have not yet realised they are ONE on an international level in their fight against the corruption and criminal activities of their respective governments. The USA and China lead as the most pervasively repressive, corrupt, criminal governments in the world today; the criteria for that assessment is based on the number of people adversely affected and the ability to affect populations outside national boundaries.

Richard Nixon was forced to resign over a relative misdemeanour compared to the flagrant criminality of the Bush regime. The people and the conscience of the nation (at the time) demanded justice and justice was served as a result. Where is the conscience of the American people today? The illegalities perpetrated by Bush and his neo-cons are obvious and brazen yet this criminal regime continues on its destructive course.

The failure of the American people to act is not replicated in China or other regions (Thailand, Philippines). In China last year (2005) one hundred and seventy four separate REVOLTS against the Chinese government were recorded, the real figure is probably much higher. The Chinese authorities were forced to make numerous concessions as a result, notwithstanding continued repression and brutal methods used against members of opposition groups. Nevertheless, the Chinese people have the spirit, will and fortitude to seek justice and equity in one of the most oppressive, brutal and corrupt regimes in the world. The ‘brave heart’ is now manifest in the East; the American people are clearly suffering from chicken-shit syndrome by comparison (while the whole world watches).

The bravery of the Chinese people does not go unnoticed or unrewarded, notwithstanding that bravery is its own reward. Due to the determined effort of the people, oppressed Chinese have welcomed assistance from activists in the fight against criminal government and oppression. In contrast is the apparent envy Bush displays toward the central control of the Beijing government. In an effort to 'trump' Chinese central control, Bush pursues an ultra-right totalitarian model in the hope that it will give him total control of American society and allow him to rule unopposed by such 'irritations' as free speech, the free press or other unruly ‘deviant’ activities.

Resistance is not a difficult task in view of the many crimes and illegalities committed by various governments. The fight is now a global concern of the people (as One) and we express and demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Thailand, China, Philippines, Nepal, South America etc, who possess the fortitude to oppose their criminal leaders. However, we have not yet seen a concerted effort from the nation that requires it most, the USA!

In the circumstances we are left to conclude that the majority of American people support the invasive, murderous, rapacious regime of G W Bush and his neo-con criminals. The failure of the people becomes the failings of a nation – let an enemy be known by its self-serving characteristics and behaviour.

As for the rest of the world, the keywords of the winning strategy are:

SUSTAINED
DETERMINATION
CONTINUOUS
UNWAVERING
FOCUS
And above all, RELENTLESSNESS!

[Analysts would note a desensitisation response directed at the American people. It is hoped that this act alerts people to the US campaign to demonise other peoples and cultures that do not share American values. In that regard we recall the famous smile of Ho Chi Minh regarding the (then anticipated) certain defeat of the intrusive Americans in Vietnam.

Americans seem to be very hard learners – get your nose out of everyone’s business; cease exploiting weaker nations and GO HOME or as history has recorded many times, suffer the consequences. In today’s world those consequences could be horrendous.]

“The failure of the people becomes the failings of a nation and there is no help available for those incapable of helping themselves.”

We are ONE.

Peace.

"... I think it may be time to show some doco footage of the demos of the past (20's, 30's, 60's) when it was 'full-on' - blood flowed (everyone's) on a regular basis. It may inspire - but I doubt it - it's the age of the weekend activist - a tourist and media novelty! They will be clocking-on soon."

These kids today actually ask permission (from the authorites/enemy) to demonstrate!!
to ensure that no one gets a record, or worse, gets a little knocked around - PATHETIC!!!

Fortunatly in East and West Asia, the Lion's heart prevails - the West however, has succumbed to it's own decadence - cream puffs! Now, why did Gandhi prevail? SIMPLE:

Commitment
tenacity
Fearlessness
Dedication
Relentlessness
BRAVERY

and all this in the face of British Colonial machine guns slaughtering civilians and batons cracking heads - It is little wonder that Asia is the rising tide and today's western kiddies are writing the history of how the West was LOST - you gutless shits with gutless leaders - I spit in your round cowardly eyes! (I'm not Asian btw - LOL - but i still shirt in your face.)
