Poetry for wanderers ..

Who would write my Epitaph?

When to inarticulate dust I return
to slumber for aeons
who would speak for me?
who would pen a memory?

I have waited an eternity
for the smallest formulation
perhaps a single word
or the stroke of a brush
on ricepaper.

No, none of it;
only stray dogs
take the time to stop
and piss on my grave.

The perfect epitaph for one
such as me.
