However, the above is only a secondary issue, a primary issue is the negligible effect the tape fraud is having on Washington. It’s full steam ahead without so much as a ripple, the administration could care less – the risks of failure (disbelief) were ‘factored’ into the operation. The neo-cons are not perturbed; they remain on their nihilistic course and nothing of significance opposes their ‘progress’. Why?

In order to understand the absence of public outrage it may be helpful to compare attitudes of ultra-right regimes of the past with the present. The most striking difference is the lack of euphoria in today’s US population. Fascism was a very intoxicating and moving experience prior WWII. Propaganda films and (more recent) interviews describe an uplifting experience as the majority were swept into frenetic frenzies by the cacophony that was pre-second world war fascism; one people, one Reich, one Fuhrer!

In contrast, we have the depressed guilt of the American public. Regardless of the best efforts in mass denial, truth continues to intrude on contrived fascist fictions. The ugly truth of the criminal regime that is the Bush government is in everyone’s face. The nation that has perfected the art of denial is unable to avoid the glaring facts.

Take stock of some flagrant crimes against the American people perpetrated by this lying administration: Bush once delivered a speech in which he emphasised that, “liberty is a gift from God..”, he then proceeds to illegally ‘bug’ and perform numerous other illegal surveillance on his own population – liberty indeed! Bush delights in flouting and mocking the Constitution, his is the new empire of the ‘New American Century’, what need does an emperor have for constitutional law and representative government? What we are offered instead are the lies of neo-fascism, the tube of baby power that Colin Powell displayed at the UN, the Australian intelligence report ‘discovering’ aluminium pipes utilised for the production of nuclear armaments, British intelligence of uranium sales from Africa – all lies.

The reality however, is torture, illegal detention centres around the world, tens of thousands of innocent civilians slaughtered etc. Who wouldn’t be depressed having a gang of criminal murderers for a ‘government’? Who could blame the American population for their inability to act – they have been whipped to death. No longer is America the home of the brave and the land of the free – we now have the land of stunned mullets and the home of chicken-shits. Psychopathic government is inevitable when the population is unable to act in its own best interests.

In view of the fake tape and other sordid activities of the Bush regime, the smart strategy is to leave it be – allow America to completely incriminate itself to the free people of the world. The USA needs no help in its downward spiral; it is a society and system in decay. Its next move must necessarily be violent, the USA is a war-based economy and needs conflict to survive – allow it to implode or incur the wrath of all nations and be rased to the ground. I hope the stupid Arabs are now aware of the relationship between Bush and ‘Bin Laden’.
