The world’s leading civilian killing, criminal nation continues on its barbaric course. A seven months pregnant woman, who was driving her son to school, was Tasered by police for failing to get out of her vehicle after being stopped for speeding! This is the nation that would lead the world into a totalitarian nightmare if we allow it!
To add to the grotesque nature of this appalling act, a US Court considered the use of a Taser on a woman in late pregnancy, justified!
This is the nation that allows rogue Bankers, Corporatists and War Criminals to break any number of laws, local and international, with impunity – give us all a break, please! America, a disease that requires drastic intervention!
A US federal appeals court says three Seattle police officers were justified when they used a stun gun on a pregnant mother who refused to sign a traffic ticket.
Malaika Brooks was driving her son to school in 2004 when she was stopped for exceeding the speed limit.
The officers used a Taser three times when she refused to get out of her car.
A panel of judges ruled 2-1 the officers were justified in using force because Brooks could have picked her keys up off the floor, started the car and driven away.
The dissenting judge called the ruling absurd saying the officers had no authority to arrest Brooks, let alone use a Taser on a non-threatening woman who was seven months pregnant.
This is the nation that dictates policy – information CENSORSHIP, full-body X-ray scanners, lifting bans on Mad Cow imports etc etc -- to servile Australian politicians. The world is aware that America is the world’s leading law flouting, convention breaking, civilian killing, TERRORIST nation. Perhaps it is time we reviewed our international relations and based friendships on traditional Australian values of egalitarianism and the fair go!
