Summer Thaw

the sun shines on
my body
this morning,
its warmth
penetrates
to the icy core
and triggers
expansion,
release.
from trickles
to flows
to mighty torrents;
from elevated sites
‘the roof
of the world’
-- my permanent abode --
i reach parched lowland
plains and continue
to the Sea.
ur hot,
parched body
eagerly waits for my
cool
life-giving draught;
imbibe
absorb
satisfy ur needs,
refresh ur body/soul
and burst into life,
blossom in all your glory –
u were created
for that purpose.
i gladly supply
the means
by which you
transform dormancy,
apparent death
into
every manner of
vibrant
Life.
