Strauss-Kahn Resigns as Chief of IMF
by staff report via fleet - Reuters Wednesday, May 18 2011, 11:51pm
international / social/political / opinion/analysis

In a not unexpected statement, 'family man' and former chief of the IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, resigned as head of the Fund, citing his concern for family and the need to focus all his energies on defending charges of attempted rape made against him by a hotel housemaid (and 'friends').

Another dirty little victory for nefarious financial elites and corporatists that vehemently disapproved of the liberal and humanitarian approach Strauss-Kahn displayed while head of the IMF.

Any future challenge to French fascist and American asset, Nicolas Sarkozy, for the French presidency has also been neutralised by this dirty little set-up.

Criminal cabals and financial elites are patting themselves on the back tonight; another job well done and a clear message, not to fuck with financial elites, sent to others who may entertain independent views .

Yet, DSK's demise, viewed in perspective, is simply the sordid work of a tiny group of financial criminals against ONE MAN! A cogent point is proven -- only other skilled, secret groups are able to mount successful challenges against entrenched, criminal groups -- a solitary individual has no chance.

Harsh measures on sovereign debt will now be implemented by the new leadership of the IMF, triggering social unrest and justifying 'police state lockdowns' of once free European societies.

Report from Reuters follows:

International Monetary Fund Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn Resigns

Mr. Dominique Strauss-Kahn today informed the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) of his intention to resign as Managing Director with immediate effect. Mr. Strauss-Kahn made the following statement in a formal letter of resignation to the Board:

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Board: It is with infinite sadness that I feel compelled today to present to the Executive Board my resignation from my post of Managing Director of the IMF.

I think at this time first of my wife -- whom I love more than anything -- of my children, of my family, of my friends. I think also of my colleagues at the Fund; together we have accomplished such great things over the last three years and more.

To all, I want to say that I deny with the greatest possible firmness all of the allegations that have been made against me. I want to protect this institution which I have served with honor and devotion, and especially -- especially -- I want to devote all my strength, all my time, and all my energy to proving my innocence.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn."
The Fund will communicate in the near future on the Executive Board's process of selecting a new Managing Director. Meanwhile, Mr. John Lipsky [formerly of JPMorgan] remains Acting Managing Director.
