international / social/political / opinion/analysis

As American society contracts in fear and adopts the social and psychological shackles of totalitarian rule – the other side of the world expands in fearless, peaceful, Unity. The people of the Ukraine have united in opposition to a corrupt and oppressive regime. The recent (peaceful but supremely effective) demonstrations are the inevitable result of eighty years of social oppression in the form of an autocratic totalitarian system of ‘government.’ Whereas alienated American culture continues to rapidly devolve as its citizens become ever more fragmented and separated from each other.

The availability and use of information mark the above two contrasting social trends. The Ukrainian people have become immune to the lies promulgated by the controlled State media and have opted for an uncontrolled medium of information – the Internet. Whereas in the US information is heavily vetted and managed under various guises; Homeland and National Security are the usual excuses given by a thoroughly corrupt administration to manage a now very partisan mass media.

The underlying common denominator of both societies is that people are fully capable of determining their own course if informed. However, in one instance we have the trend toward peace, unity and freedom while in the other we have contraction, devolution and Fear – information/knowledge is ‘power’ indeed.

It becomes plain that those who control and manipulate information have something to hide. Who would be afraid of a well-informed society? Those who take self-serving advantage of the population would seem the obvious choice. Everyone is aware of the simple fact that the masses always tend toward peace and freedom. Would the American people support a government that plunders, exploits and indirectly murders the people other nations if they were informed? The innate characteristic of all people everywhere is their desire for peace, freedom and fair play. So the American administration must go to extreme lengths to present a distorted picture to the American public. The Truth of the machinations of minority interests must be hidden at all times. Americans know that the whole world hates them but have never investigated why. Do they really believe that people (like themselves) would have this attitude if it was unfounded? Obviously not! Harmonious relationships of all types are based on mutual respect first then mutual cooperation. Rape, plunder, exploitation, inequity only create enemies [can’t for the life of me understand why!]

Peace, freedom and Unity are literally at your fingertips – investigate the truth of all claims and view the State controlled mass media exactly for what it is – the mouthpiece of minority interests. Exposure is the greatest weapon in the real battlefield of today’s world.

Have no fear the people always prevail. But why believe me – investigate it yourself. I recommend world history as a good area to start.

We are ONE

Addendum:
I offer the following short analysis as an example of a crude attempt by the mass media to propagate a lie/fiction:

Recently the US Ambassador to Australia was recalled for reasons related to certain comments he made on the local media. His final informal address (on the local media) was noted by his ‘wooden’ appearance – he was obviously loath to repeat previous gaffes. In response to a friendly interview, he stated that Australia and America were good friends principally due to sharing similar values. This comment was either based on an assumption, ignorance or the usual arrogant US attempt at ideological imposition. For whichever reason, his statement was far removed from Truth.

While it is accurate that certain notable ‘Australians’ have acceded to the American ideology – I refer specifically to the Prime Minister, John Howard (who suffers from the famous “cultural cringe” syndrome) and the media magnate, Rupert Murdoch, who has completed his conversion by adopting American citizenship. Notwithstanding these two highly unrepresentative examples, the Australian national character is almost a complete opposite of the US national character. The most striking fundamental difference is the Egalitarian basis of Australian culture, which is in strong contrast to the (American) fundamentalist Mosaic model of patriarchal authority and rule. Historically, Australians have based their survival on “mateship” or mutual cooperation – not authoritarian imposition. Australians have a “live and let live” philosophy in contradistinction to the American ‘we know what is best for everyone’ and we will impose our view whether other parties like it or not. Australians are generally tolerant of cultural differences; US visitors are always surprised by the cosmopolitan composition of city suburbs where vastly different people/cultures live side by side – unlike the ghettoes of American cities.

The differences between the two cultures could fill a volume and I do not wish to digress further. I would hope that enough information has been supplied to debunk any idiotic attempt to superimpose American values onto Australia. The two respective cultures are almost opposites and I would venture to say that America could improve its international standing by adopting Australian values. However, the lie of similarity espoused by the US Ambassador was delivered with a truth – that of friendship between the two nations. But in the great Australian tradition many nations enjoy friendship with Australia. Perhaps good relations are largely due to Australia not embarking (with intent) on a course of conflict with other nations!

The modern mass media is a tool for propagandists.
