‘Never look at what they want you to see, look at why they want you to see it’! This East European adage is attributed to the Gypsies but its real origin is lost in the sea of ethnic diversity that is Eastern Europe. My initial exposure to this European gem of wisdom was while watching a news report on TV with friends; one of the group rightly asked what had happened to Bush’s highly prized ‘democracy’ in his own nation where over seventy percent of the population rejects him and his incompetent regime? BUSH AND THE PUBLIC SEEM TO HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT DEMOCRACY IS REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT AND BUSH (with only 28% approval rating) IS NO LONGER REPRESENTATIVE!
We all tend to overlook the fact that the invasion of Iraq has been exposed as a criminal enterprise. The mass media almost never pursues the flagrant criminality of the invasion -- people may begin to imagine that the mass media is a conscious participant in the (now failed) ‘push’ for world domination by conservative forces! However, the glaring ‘oversight’ of the mass media is its refusal to pursue those responsible for the horrendous Iraqi death toll, which the world’s leading medical journal (Lancet) directly attributes to the invasive coalition forces.
My friend’s comment triggered considerable debate that night. The model the neo-cons emulate (almost exactly) is Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime. Both regimes based their pursuit of world domination on deception, lies and a compliant mass media. The difference today is the media pretends to be an independent entity, whereas in Nazi Germany it was a State apparatus!
Today a cabal of interests rather than the fascist supreme leader is the impetus behind the push for world domination (PNAC); notwithstanding Bush is led to believe otherwise. What the world sees with Bush is the expendable idiot, the mad buffoon who was led to believe he would be King when in fact he was being groomed as a sacrifice, scapegoat or fall guy – a role in which he will no doubt excel.
In the dying stages of the Bush government we would all do well not to focus entirely on Bush, which is where the mass media will attempt to draw our attention – how easy – ALL responsible parties especially, RUPERT MURDOCH, must be apprehended for their conscious support and/or participation in the criminal invasion and exploitation of Iraq. Fox news could easily be described as the State media apparatus of the Bush neo-con regime! Other known criminal participants would be John Howard, Tony Blair, Dick Cheney, Richard Perle and Paul Wofowitz to name the obvious offenders. Directors of Halliburton would lead other involved corporate directors to the dock.
It is very easy for the masses to be swept up in a media frenzy of ‘justice’ apparently being served. George W Bush may yet challenge Lee Harvey Oswald as the most famous patsy in American history. Do not be distracted!
“Never look at what they want you to see, look at why they want you to see it.”
Victory depends on unwavering focus and persistence.
We are ONE.
Who rules the rulers, Mr. Murdoch?
