APEC and eleven years of Australian Conservatism

Prior to commencing this short discourse I would expose a major Howard government lie that Australia was a terrorist target before Howard’s slavish compliance to U.S. dictates. It is a simple matter of citing our regional neighbour, New Zealand, as a non (terrorist) target that labels Howard a LIAR! New Zealand has maintained her sovereignty and neutrality in stark contrast to the cowardly position of Howard's Australia!

New Zealand’s NEUTRALITY is internationally known and is demonstrated by her continued ban on nuclear warships entering her harbours – a tactic clearly designed to prevent all warships entering her harbours. Foreign navies are obliged to declare various vessels as nuclear or non-nuclear, a situation navies wish to avoid for security reasons. The politically astute policy of NZ results in foreign warships avoiding New Zealand altogether.

Australia has much to learn from NZ regarding matters of sovereignty, morality, integrity and COURAGE it would seem, but to return to the cost to Australian society of allowing a subservient, sycophant, COWARD to dispose of traditional values and re-shape Australian society into a contractive, OVER-REGULATED police state.

The first impression invokes Latin American fascist police – Nazi storm troopers who serve right-wing dictators! What has happened to Australian police to warrant wearing balaclavas, masks and dark glasses to avoid identification or recognition? Today, Howard government authorities and compliant state Premiers train their police to view dissenting Australians, protesters, and others exercising their democratic rights as ‘the other’ or enemy.

Conservative values are nothing if not DIVISIVE, further proof is unnecessary, the image spells it out – not to mention the introduction of water cannon, kilometres of steel fencing and military involvement in a civilian context! The APEC summit is NOT the third world war, nor are protesters and other dissenting civilians THE ENEMY!

Howard has implemented the most extreme and draconian security measures to date for an APEC summit, yet no evidence of a heightened security threat exists that would justify the measures taken. We can conclude, however, the one week (only) duration of APEC talks is being utilised as a means to 'soften' the public to an increasing police presence and a growing intolerance for traditional Australian freedoms.

The entire security apparatus, combining both the police and the military, demonstrates a contractive ideology that views the public as a threat or an enemy. It is self-evident that those who view the public as an enemy ARE enemies of the public. It also becomes clear that representative, democratic government has nothing to fear from the public and that any government that fears the public is to a greater or lesser extent NON-REPRESENTATIVE – perhaps that would help explain the extraordinary security presence in Sydney.

The public has been re-defined as potential enemy by non-representative government. Draconian measures have been deployed to deal with the very real threat that exists in the MINDS (only) of deceitful, manipulative dishonest, NON-REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENTS! If the public does not take immediate and decisive action at the next Federal Election and remove all traces of conservatism from the political landscape a representative democracy may never be installed in the Capital. Contractionist policies and fear campaigns/politics may become a permanent feature of Australian political life!

The immediate concern, however, is to be aware that infiltrators and 'agents provocateurs' will be among the protesters urging them to take violent action in order to justify the presence of police storm troopers and the use of extreme policing methods, water cannon etc. Numerous groups are aware of this contingency and have ensured that abundant digital film coverage of protests occurs – perhaps this would explain the dark glasses, masks and balaclavas worn by the POLICE!

Police posing as 'feral protesters' is another issue; they have been instructed to engage in violent activities whenever the mass media appears! These activities must be recorded for future legal battles; APEC presents numerous opportunities for novices and professionals alike. Ensure that APEC becomes the most embarrassing and compromising event for the authorities to date.

Make the FIRST DAY of the POLICE STATE the LAST! Police have been hyped in briefings and training exercises, they will readily exceed either their authority or acceptable behaviour standards – CAMERAS AT THE READY, everyone! Go to whatever 'lengths' are necessary to ensure that important footage is not ‘confiscated’ or falls into the hands of the authorities.

Remember, it is THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY that opposes violence, murder, war, pollution, plunder and every other aspect of neo-conservative rule, especially neo-colonialism and economic feudalism.
