Tips from the ‘Text’

The future is Asian and for very good reason. People wonder how the West was lost and which forces led to its demise, I can put it a word, PASSION, either the abundance or the lack thereof! Think of that little scrawny Indian Mahatma who seized the popular imagination by addressing Indian emotions and the passions inherent in that culture. The result was the first popular peaceful revolution in modern history – the British lost the jewel in their global imperial crown. Many other British colonies soon followed India’s example and so ended one of the world’s most successful Empires. It continues to amaze historians how a tiny island nation was able to conquer and maintain its rule over so many vast territories and diverse populations for so long.

Absolutely Perfect

Who would have thought that Britain could be successfully challenged without violent revolution? Only one very astute little fellow now regarded as a saint in his culture, Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi’s success lay in his ability to understand and utilise a very potent cultural characteristic, the passionate response. His ability to stir the Asian temperament, seize the popular imagination and channel the resulting social energy into a peaceful revolt is legendary. The rhetorical question I put to the western reader today is what motivating social force fuelled the Indian revolution? Perhaps an example from today’s political ferment may assist in determining an answer.

Last year in China, the Chinese authorities put down or otherwise de-fused over 300 OPEN REVOLTS against the government! We do not hear much outside China of popular discontent on the mainland but it is explosive and a constant challenge for the Chinese authorities, who are fast losing control. Consider also the passions presently aroused by Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan, passions that prompted the dictator, Pervez Musharraf, to take extreme measures to quell – only temporarily I might add, it is over for Musharraf!

Consider also the passions of Balkan populations that require only a spark of nationalist rhetoric to trigger open revolt.

Now compare with mature Western democracies and populations that are unable to confront their own criminal leaderships.

The outstanding difference between East and West is of course PASSION, also known as ‘hot blood,’ the emotive response etc., a very powerful difference it makes! Western leaders inadvertently pay a very high price for social compliance/slavery in their populations -- crushing debt burdens, alienated individuals, competition rather than cooperation all spell disunity and diminished spirit/passion.

Competitive societies are no match for integrated focused communities/groups/nations; whether that focus is based on national pride, religion or whatever, a focused group is far more effective than a bunch of competitive, alienated individuals! Factors capitalists omitted in their manic pursuit of 'wealth.'

We witness today the bastion of Capitalism (America) attempting remedial strategies – but its far too late. The Bush regime has attempted to outsource everything from disaster relief to warfare. The cost of course is proportionate to the inability of government to manage the nation and in that regard trillions of dollars have been printed, borrowed and consumed in a matter of a few short grossly incompetent years. The USA has in fact imploded; we just haven’t heard the muffled ‘bang’ yet!

In a word the answer to the above question is PASSION! Passionate people do everything from fighting to fucking better than their DULL, western, morbid, desensitised, counterparts. It’s all but over for the West; they have defeated themselves by killing the spirit of freedom, rebellion and the passionate response, which they actually fear or regard with disdain.

It’s a long shot, but just maybe Western populations could be resuscitated by the simple act of arresting their war criminal leaders; but I doubt it, they are too far gone.

This entire paper reduces to two simple facts, passion is life/freedom, conservatism is morbidity/death.

It's over, the best of British luck to you!
