David Hicks and ‘Freedom’ - International Social/Political

The Freedom to which I refer is NOT the ‘freedom’ experienced by the Iraqi population since America began violently exporting its version of freedom to the world – we have seen Rice’s callous efforts in South Lebanon and the one million civilian deaths in Iraq. We are all too familiar with the ‘freedom, liberty and democracy’ the U.S. wishes to impose on the world.

I refer to another aspect of American ‘freedom’ – the gag order! Have any of you mindless morons thought for a second that imposing a gag order on a person is the height of medieval repression? Who is it that fears a person’s right to SPEAK, what is it THEY have to fear?

Unlike your torturers Mr Hicks, take heart from the FACT that you have not spilled a drop of human blood in anger or harmed a human soul. The illegal military commission that sentenced you, with the FULL SUPPORT of the HOWARD LIBERAL GOVERNMENT, will be seen in the historical context for the despicable inhuman criminals they really are. Fear not Mr Hicks, JUST FIGHT! RAGE your way out of the darkness and horrors of your past and emerge a fighter for PEACE and REAL freedom from the oppression and slavery America wishes to impose on the world – you do not need religion to accomplish that end! You actually have a head start on most; you are internationally known and YOUR VOICE WILL BE HEARD; choose your words well, David Hicks. Turn every disaster to advantage!

I emphasise because it seems the U.S. poison is seeping into our FREE EGALITARIAN culture – WHO IS IT THAT DEMANDS AN APOLOGY FROM A VICTIM OF TORTURE, has the man not suffered enough?
