Domestic collateral damage

People are unravelling at an alarming rate today. Millions are succumbing to the pressures of western, affluent society. Something critically important to human well being is definitely missing from the capitalist formula. Almost the entire population is suffering from stress/anxiety related complaints. Did we destroy numerous indigenous cultures for this? Is our ‘advanced/superior’ culture a LIE or rather is it a sociological DISEASE that is killing the planet? It is clear that nintendo and plasma TV do not happiness make! CONSUMERISM BENEFITS ONLY THE FEW IT SEEMS!

In a previous article I mentioned that Pharmaceutical Corporations have thirty million Americans addicted to legal ‘social anxiety’ drugs – what is the problem? If we combine that group with illegal drug users and alcohol abusers the REAL costs of living in a nation of perverse values, glaring contradictions and pathological denial becomes apparent.

What is wrong with this social picture? Almost everything! The golden calf of capitalism clearly does not produce prosperity and well being for the majority; it does, however, produce an obscenely rich, corrupt and decadent minority – AS IS CLEARLY EVIDENT TODAY!

While a decadent minority basks in the sun the rest of us toil and sweat just to make ends meet. Why should we tolerate such huge disparities when it is abundantly clear the Paris Hiltons of this world are decadent, spoilt, feeble-minded parasites; why should the majority support a parasitic, useless minority, we would really like to know?

Why should the majority suffer to support inequity and disparity – answer that simple question please?

Do bloodsucking, weak capitalists have a divine right to Lord over and exploit the masses – I think not!

The time has come to simply default on imposed debts and change the system for a fairer, more equitable model. What a thorough travesty the present system has become; there is something seriously wrong with a system that allows gangsters and murderers to assume government and play God with our lives.

Would we be surprised if the masses rejected the present model and traded compliance for resistance, stress for rage and slavery for freedom? No more toiling for the crumbs on the table while the dogs of the rich enjoy better lives than the children of the exploited.

More than a failed economic system is coming to an abrupt end, I would think! What do YOU think?
