It’s a matter of credibility, literacy and competence

Prior to responding to the latest gibberish from the White House -- you know, the domicile on the misspelt ‘Capitol’ Hill that houses the leaders of the ONCE most powerful nation on the planet, America! [Now famed for its nose-diving economy, stunningly inaccurate intelligence agencies, illegal activities, expansionist wars of plunder and aggression, torture, illegal detention etc, etc; all brought to you by men and women of unusual intelligence and skill!] “We know Saddam has weapons of mass destruction because he just has,” emphatically stated by a ‘known’ demented, Donald Rumsfeld! Perhaps he was attempting to compete with Paul Wolfowitz’s infamous remark that Iraqis would welcome (aggressive) American invaders with “bouquets of flowers!”
How about Dick Cheney’s, “we’ve broken the back of the insurgency” or the “mobile chemical (ice-cream truck) laboratories” producing anthrax (baby powder) a sample of which was held aloft at the UN by Colin Powell – once thought to be an intelligent man!
But the best is reserved for the comic book, murdering, President himself, George W Bush, who simply overflows with erudite one-liners and ‘surgical’ (in)accuracies.
Three weeks after the illegal invasion, his “mission accomplished” declaration of a won war in Iraq was so far removed from reality it promises to be a favourite with historians for generations. We should not forget that THE ENTIRE WHITE HOUSE SUBSCRIBED TO THAT WISHFUL DELUSION!
However, Bush is more familiar as the simplistic buffoon who is only capable of thinking in binary concepts – an indication of mental retardation. We all remember, and were astounded by, “you’re either with us or you’re with the terrorists,” that statement did not augur well for the future and the future is NOW! Bush’s feeble attempt to polarise the international community was doomed to failure due to the method of delivery -- inane, hillbilly gibberish. A variation of the hillbilly expression, ‘you’re either ‘withus’ or ‘aginus!’
In view of recent American history, today’s White House announcement should come as no surprise to anyone. Referring to the Sept. 6 2007, Israeli strike on Syria, the U.S. is demanding that Syria “come clean” regarding SUSPECTED nuclear installations!
We are not sure if Arab cultures are familiar with American slang or the use of vernacular expressions but we are sure that Arab leaders understand formal English, as most of their diplomats and advisers hold degrees from British universities! Slang expressions emanating from any government are not only inappropriate, they betray a level of (in)competence – so very evident in America today!
The above examples serve to illustrate that no truth has ever emanated from the Bush White House. America is now widely known as the world’s number one LYING (and murdering) criminal nation.
With its current ‘credentials’ America is in no position to accuse or make demands on any other nation for any reason whatsoever!
Whatever Syria is SUSPECTED of it would pale against the REALITY of one million innocent lives lost since the illegal American invasion of Iraq and the four million displaced since the U.S. occupation.
Uneducated, incompetent, criminal, inept morons have destroyed the USA from within; they have lied from day one and continue to lie today; NOT ONE truthful sentence, in relation to foreign policy, has ever emanated from the current administration -- an astounding fact!
If any American wonders how the nation was ruined and why it continues on a path to certain annihilation, simply take a long look at the current leadership and weep! The most outstanding achievement of the Bush administration is that in a relatively short period of time it has turned the entire world against it -- America today is the most detested nation on earth!
Those who imagine the expiring presidency of Bush offers hope for the future are sorely mistaken! The current crop of presidential candidates offers only continuing folly. “I will OBLITERATE Iran,” cries, Hillary ‘Bilderberg’ Clinton and “I’ll stay in Iraq for a hundred years,” says mad John McCain!
Little wonder that “nuke America” is becoming a popular slogan around the world today.

IAEA to probe Syria atomic plant report
by Mark Heinrich via rialator - Reuters UK Friday, Apr 25 2008, 7:00pm
VIENNA (Reuters) - The U.N. nuclear watchdog pledged on Friday to investigate whether Syria secretly built an atomic reactor with North Korean help but criticised the United States for delaying the release of intelligence.
The United States revealed its intelligence material on Thursday about the suspected Syrian atomic plant, saying it was "nearing operational capability" a month before Israeli warplanes bombed it on September 6.
Mohamed ElBaradei, director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, lambasted Israel for the air strike, saying his inspectors should have been able to verify beforehand whether undeclared nuclear activity had been going on.
"In light of (this, I) view the unilateral use of force by Israel as undermining the due process of verification that is at the heart of the non-proliferation regime," he said.
ElBaradei said the U.S. allegations against Syria, which denied the U.S. charges and accused Washington of involvement in the Israeli air attack, would be investigated with due vigour.
"The Agency will treat this information with the seriousness it deserves and will investigate the veracity of the information," he said in a statement.
But ElBaradei, alluding to the United States, deplored a failure to share intelligence information "in a timely manner" about the project, which Washington said was launched in 2001.
A diplomat close to the Vienna-based agency expressed anger at the delay. "There is a lot of annoyance here about the lateness in the day that the IAEA got this information. Had this been given to the IAEA before this damn bombing, then the world might know the true story," the diplomat said.
"Even right after the bombing, before the place was totally cleaned up, it would have been easier."
ElBaradei confirmed Washington had handed over information this week saying a Syrian installation destroyed by an Israeli air strike in September was an unfinished atomic reactor.
The diplomat and analysts said the U.S. disclosure did not amount to proof of an illicit nuclear arms programme since there was no sign of a reprocessing plant needed to convert spent fuel from the plant into bomb-grade plutonium.
"The absence of such facilities gives little confidence that the reactor was part of an active nuclear weapons programme," David Albright and Paul Brannan of the Institute for Science and International Security said in an email commentary.
"The United States does not have any indication of how Syria would fuel this reactor ... This type of reactor requires a large supply of uranium fuel. (All of this) raises questions about when this reactor could have operated."
Analysts say the Bush administration chose not to release the intelligence earlier given a risk that it might prompt Syria to retaliate against Israel.
It published the information this week, they said, in the hope that revealing what it believes about suspected Syria-North Korean nuclear cooperation would encourage Pyongyang to come clean about suspected proliferation activities and in turn encourage Congress to support dropping sanctions on North Korea.
SYRIA MAKES COMPARISON WITH IRAQ
Syria likens the U.S. allegations to those made against Iraq about weapons of mass destruction that were never found. It accused the United States of colluding in Israel's air strike.
"The U.S. administration was apparently party to the execution" of the air raid, a Syrian government statement said, without giving details. A U.S. official said Washington did not give Israel any "green light" to strike the area.
Israel is widely believed to have the Middle East's only nuclear arsenal which experts estimate at up to 200 warheads. The Jewish state has never declared its nuclear firepower as part of a "strategic ambiguity" policy to deter adversaries.
Syria has belonged to the 144-nation IAEA since 1963 and has one, declared small research reactor subject to U.N. inspection.
The diplomat close to the IAEA said it would make contact with Syrian officials soon to start pushing for explanations.
Damascus pledged to cooperate. "Syria has nothing to hide ... We are not afraid of this cooperation," Syria's U.N. envoy Bashar Ja'afari told reporters in New York on Friday.
Vienna diplomats said Syria refused earlier requests for IAEA inspectors to visit the alleged reactor site after the air raid. Syria subsequently razed and buried the installation and removed "incriminating equipment", Washington said.
"It is essential that Syria shed full light on its nuclear activities, past and present, in accordance with its international obligations," French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Pascale Andreani told reporters in Paris.
"The clandestine construction of a nuclear reactor would be a major breach of Syria's non-proliferation obligations."
Under a deal North Korea struck with five regional powers, it had until the end of 2007 to disclose a complete list of its fissile material and nuclear weaponry as well as answer U.S. suspicions of enriching uranium and proliferating technology.
The White House said it was convinced North Korea had helped Syria to construct a clandestine nuclear reactor.
North Korea tested a nuclear device in October 2006.
