Swine Flu and draconian social bio-management policies

Australia, in its role as a test site for the broader western world, is currently undergoing two major assaults on traditional freedoms – freedom of movement and association [now] threatened by swine flu bio-management policies; and freedom to access all available information via the internet. I need not remind readers whose interests are best served by these new laws/policies – not those of the democratic majority by any stretch of the Orwellian imagination! A shocking report in the SMH today reveals what is behind the (failed) media-hyped alarm over what is a typical, in severity, flu!
The NSW health minister has been granted powers to forcibly isolate “anyone who has been in contact with a suspected case” (of swine flu!) Rational thinking persons are more alarmed by these new laws, which smack of Washington’s new “preventive detention,” policies, than the flu. For those not familiar with ‘preventive detention’ it works something like this: CIA, FBI and police clairvoyants would be utilised to determine who is contemplating committing a crime; the suspect would then be incarcerated on the basis of fanciful imagination OR FALSE ACCUSATION! Give the world a break, you screaming A-M-E-R-I-C-A-N fascists!
But to return to colonial Australia; note the addition of draconian bio-management/enforcement strategies, “NSW police can assist in compliance .. ” The addition of regulatory forces in what is clearly an unwarranted situation begs the question in the context of Obama’s ‘preventive detention,’ where the fuck is all this headed – can you guess? It’s as obvious as dog’s balls?
I’ll give you a hint; in the event that various governments wish to implement extremely unpopular social policies, they would require a host of extreme social management laws to justify their harsh actions. The fear is always that draconian policies could trigger runaway civil revolt/disobedience!
Needless to say, faced with draconian bio-management laws, the Oz population would spring to the defence of their hard-earned democratic freedoms and inalienable rights – just as soon as the game’s over and the shout is finished! Less than 1% of the apathetic, fit for the slaughter, population are even aware of their rights, too funny!
A note to the powers:
Severe social policies can easily be turned to the advantage of superior tacticians – and let’s face it, dummies, you people are 5th rate at best!
