Assange, a Paris Hilton with a high IQ
stylus, Tuesday, Dec 21 2010, 8:47pm
You had us all going for a minute, Julian; the world was briefly mesmerised by the Assange media circus and the hope of justice and real reform. You played the disgruntled, hope-seeking, frustrated public like a violin. Many continue to be fascinated by the spin but a book deal so soon – and perhaps a Hollywood movie contract – defines you as just ANOTHER fame seeking, self-serving ‘it’s all about ME,’ personality – same ol’ crap, different wrapper, Paris, oops, I mean, Julian! Your Devices are Watching You
Scott Thurm and Yukari Kane via fleet, Monday, Dec 20 2010, 10:15pm
Few devices know more personal details about people than the smartphones in their pockets: phone numbers, current location, often the owner's real name—even a unique ID number that can never be changed or turned off. (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

The Failed Assange Op
quill, Monday, Dec 20 2010, 8:00pm
From the start the entire Assange/WikiLeaks media charade reeked of strong Corporatist, orchestrated involvement. Whether Assange was a willing or unwitting player in this very clear attempt to trounce the anarchic freedom of the internet, which is still a very real possibility due to the cyber war ‘Assange’ -- with more than a little help from the Corporate media – triggered, is largely irrelevant. US Vice-President Biden echoes Sarah Palin’s accusation of Assange
styx, Sunday, Dec 19 2010, 11:04pm
Yessiree Bob, no surprises from good ol’ America. The vacuum-headed former governor of Alaska, Sarah ‘suck my cock’ Palin, has found herself an unlikely supporter in her war against reason, rationality and sanity. Her inane comment that Julian Assange of WikiLeaks should be deemed a terrorist and hunted down has gained support from the Obama (corporate) proxy administration. The latest comment to issue from the continental insane asylum, called America – from the Vice-President no less – is that Julian Assange should be regarded as a “high-tech terrorist” and hunted down for revealing incontestable proof that America is the world’s leading civilian killing, THEREFORE OVERTLY TERRORIST nation. The American administration is really beginning to grate on the collective reason, rationality and sanity of the international community. (story and 1 comment and 2 images)

Assange’s ‘demon dancing’ serves to distract from Ongoing Corporate and American Crimes
Kismo, Saturday, Dec 18 2010, 8:29pm
View the Assange media circus anyway you wish but remember while he/the media steals your attention with sordid (idiotic actually) sex scandals and very tame leaks, the world’s leading civilian killing, terrorist nation continues on its invasive/occupying, mass murdering, criminal course in the background – tick one up for the Corporate media and cabals that so adeptly manage the moronic masses. Assange to enjoy a "Martini with Friends" while Bradley Manning rots in Solitary
bluey, Friday, Dec 17 2010, 9:38pm
If a picture is worth a thousand words and a video a narrative then here’s both. There are many unanswered questions now surrounding the strange person of Julian Assange and even more gnawing doubts as to this man’s character and INTEGRITY. (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

Spare a thought for Bradley -- the slow and Insidious Torture of Private Manning
snowy, Thursday, Dec 16 2010, 9:44pm
With all the fanfare and media flurry surrounding the colourful, mysterious and clearly captivating character of Julian Assange, very few people are sensitive to the plight of Private Bradley Manning, the alleged leaker of secret files to WikiLeaks. We would remind Mr Assange that he has a responsibility to Bradley Manning; we therefore request that he directs as much attention to the plight of Private Manning as possible. Some Americans Lament the Rapid Decline of their Nation
Michael Brenner via reed, Thursday, Dec 16 2010, 6:53pm
The casual way that Americans are shredding their liberties is breathtaking. Rights that have been revered as the nation's spiritual heirloom for 225 years are cast aside like so many disposable keepsakes. Only a people confused by runaway emotions, and forgetful of their identity, can act with such feckless abandon.

U.S. seeks to build WikiLeaks conspiracy case
JoAnne Allen and Todd Eastham via gan, Wednesday, Dec 15 2010, 10:35pm
[The world's leading civilian killing nation will stop at nothing to destroy the man that revealed the sordid Truth of American war crimes and the heinous LIES in relation to American wars of plunder in the 21st Century.
How many INNOCENT civilians have we killed in Drone strikes today, America -- notwithstanding the millions previously murdered in the illegal invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan? Drone warfare makes a mockery of every Court and International Convention against war crimes and other crimes against humanity. Perhaps it may be time to RESTORE JUSTICE and LAW and RESIST American war crimes rather than support the persecution of an man that America would see silenced. It is time for every person of conscience to RESIST the USA on EVERY FRONT! Ed.] (story and 1 comment)

Julian Assange’s Bail application Successful
gan, Tuesday, Dec 14 2010, 9:02am
The extremely compromising (for the persecutors) unjustified and politically motivated incarceration of WikiLeaks' spokesperson Julian Assange in London has ended [update details below] today with his release on bail – I would hasten to add that more than the British judiciary heaved a sigh of relief at the Courts decision today. [Swedish authorities appealed the decision on the basis that Assange presents as a 'flight risk!' Assange remains in solitary confinement pending a final decision by the British Legal System. Stock Plummets as Bank of America Pre-Empts WikiLeaks' Revelations
AFP Wire via reed, Monday, Dec 13 2010, 8:16pm
The rumour alone that WikiLeaks is about to expose CORPORATE criminal behaviour on Wall St has sent US Banks and Corporatists scurrying like the Lying Criminal Rodents they are!
If anyone doubted the service WikiLeaks renders to society then doubt no more, Bank of America shares ceased their freefall after boardroom Execs decided to admit liability and criminal behaviour, something they never would have contemplated without the threat of exposure hanging over their heads -- JAIL the bastards! There are no wars if WE choose NOT to fight for Corporate Profits
penn, Monday, Dec 13 2010, 5:59am
WikiLeaks has proven that the Corporate controlled Terrorist nation of America cannot buy or intimidate everyone.
We, the free people of the WORLD RESIST to the END the CORPORATE ideology of profit at any cost. We REJECT completely and emphatically the perversity that values profit above human life. The GLOBAL COMMUNITY is ONE; we embrace each other in Peace and Love and in UNITY work together to eliminate the perversity that has infected our governments and hijacked OUR Democracies. There’s something about Julian …
nano-thermite, Sunday, Dec 12 2010, 12:58am
Julian Assange of WikiLeaks, is an enigmatic widely known person that can’t seem to stay out of the media since he abandoned his anonymous mode of operation. He is regarded as a hero by some and a dangerous subversive by others yet many remain guarded, perplexed and undecided in their opinion of this eccentric Australian man, nevertheless, he has been given unprecedented Corporate media attention and has forced the world to confront the ‘issue/s’ he raises. WikiLeaks/Assange Exploiting Global Discontent over Corporate and Government Corruption
stylus, Thursday, Dec 9 2010, 8:48pm
The media, by conscious design or by nature, regularly whips culture into a frenzy; it is entirely in character for this to occur. However, when this social phenomenon occurs it is easy to lose sight of the REAL engines that drive the ‘beast.’
