The High Cost of Political Subservience
digby, Monday, Apr 4 2011, 11:30am
The Oz PM, Julia Gillard, is about as popular as a fart in a lift at the moment. Her blind obedience to Wall Street and Washington's wishes to implement a back-breaking Carbon Tax is the primary reason the Australian public have rejected her. But as stated previously, she is NOT representative of the people, in fact, she regards locals with such contempt that she imagined she could REVERSE a previous promise never to introduce a Carbon Tax and maintain her viability. Aircraft Vulnerable to Cyber Attack
Alex Dickinson via Kismo, Sunday, Apr 3 2011, 8:47am
It's not news to hackers who, according to an unsubstantiated report, recently hacked into the systems of a military satellite -- an aircraft would be a simple matter by comparison.

Our True Nature is Bliss
stylus, Saturday, Apr 2 2011, 10:33am
Bold, succinct, transformative and evolutionary claims, as expressed by the title, are difficult to ignore.
The ancient Indian Vedas do not mince words or engage in florid metaphor, they emphatically state that man’s true nature is Bliss; the Vedas also challenge us to verify that enduring Truth for ourselves. (story and 4 comments)

Obama Libya Speech noted for Open Fascist Declaration
judd, Thursday, Mar 31 2011, 9:37am
Obama’s speech on Monday was a shocker! Not for its failure to convince anyone that Oil, gas and eliminating Gaddafi are not the primary objectives of the Libyan intervention, but for the fact that ruling Corporatist and Banker elites in the US no longer find it necessary to hide their true character or intentions. Obama’s [Wall Street's] Unconvincing Case on Libya
Matthew Rothschild via stan, Tuesday, Mar 29 2011, 10:39pm
Wall Street fails to make case via puppet President Obama for the Libyan intervention. Performer/Liar Obama did not address the issue of his war making powers during his belated speech to the nation on the Libyan military intervention [because he does what he's told]. He also failed to distinguish between Libya and other cases of urgent humanitarian need, such as Syria, Yemen and Bahrain. And he didn’t adequately address the question of 'overextending' the military, or face the crying social needs on the home front. (story and 1 comment and 1 image)

Flagrant US RACIST Propaganda
van, Monday, Mar 28 2011, 9:30pm
With God on their side regardless of how many innocent civilians they murder or 'legally' torture, every American knows they are justified in doing anything they choose -- criminal or otherwise. When reason and LIES fail to sustain the argument/myth 'they' resort to the most outrageous racist propaganda seen since the anti-semitic attacks on the Jews by the Nazis. The video below has gone viral for a number of reasons but its overtly racist message is without doubt a calculated inclusion -- there were many ways of delivering this message without the need for OVERT RACISM so we must ask the question, WHY? NATO moves against Libya -- Déjà vu Yugoslavia
rad, Sunday, Mar 27 2011, 10:14pm
NATO is to take command of all international military operations over Libya, including air strikes on Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's ground forces. [But remember NATO's track record in the Balkans and how they installed a KNOWN murdering criminal as the PM of illegally partitioned Kosovo. Libya is so far an exact repeat performance; an intervention based on fraudulent humanitarian grounds, supporting questionable 'rebels' and (soon) a strategic partition (if regime change fails) in order to appropriate valuable Oil resources and allow for a conduit to existing Mediterranean Oil ports. Brazen organised crime today is undertaken at State levels. The USA and NATO stand condemned while Russia and China stand mute and impotent!]

Earthquake: 10 kilometre crack in a road in Northern Thailand

Yet another tectonic shift and earthquake this time around the Thai-Burma border. Had this quake hit in a heavily populated area it would have been devastating. But NOTE how the mass media is playing down these related events with brief reports lacking detail and without making obvious connections to recent tectonic activity on the Pacific Rim. The ‘Too Big To Fail’ Myth
quin, Wednesday, Mar 23 2011, 10:00pm
The world remembers the absurd excuse Wall St Bankers and Financiers used to blackmail and force government to handover trillions of dollars in public, taxpayer funds to ‘bail out’ the buffoons and criminals directly responsible for destroying the international economy. At the vanguard of this blackmail plot was a former director of Goldman (ETS) Sachs, then in the role as Chief of Treasury. Obama insists actions in Libya serve US [Corporate] interests
Robert Burns via stylus, Wednesday, Mar 23 2011, 2:21am
The World certainly is AWARE that Corporate interests, which control Obama, Congress and the Pentagon, are being served by the current military intervention in North Africa. Libya is yet another US thieving intervention, pure and simple. A US puppet will soon be installed in the soon to be partitioned OIL rich Eastern area of the nation, [if regime change fails]. US criminal actions today are as transparent as wet toilet paper. (story and 1 comment)
