McCain with H Bush image Old men – Old World Order budgie, Monday, Feb 18 2008, 8:35am
George H Bush has endorsed Republican front-runner, John McCain -- one senile old fart supporting another. The U.S. is going from one easily manipulated retard, Dubya Bush, to a ‘what day is it,’ easily manipulated senile old man? If a picture is worth a thousand words, this one is worth a few more! The image is vividly clear, its message is past tense and antiquated! (story and 2 images)

Gareth Evans image Kosovo: fools rush in Kingfisher, Sunday, Feb 17 2008, 8:04pm
Former Australian Foreign Minister to the Hawke-Keating governments, Gareth Evans -- a man with much to hide regarding his complicity in the cover-up of the Balibo five murders -- today displayed his continuing infatuation with his own reflection in the pond of NATO/EU dreams! Evans, who is divorced from everything but the most myopic of views, expressed an opinion so completely divorced from reality one wonders whether the International Crisis Group (ICG) that now employs him, is in crisis itself! text Kosovo calamity undermines Europe’s security nano, Saturday, Feb 16 2008, 9:56am
Most of us are familiar with the almost universally known adage, “a million wrongs do not make a right;” we are also familiar with the concept of shared criminality, most popularly depicted as a mafia leader demanding that every member of his group put a bullet into the body of a victim. In this way the most sordid and heinous of all criminal bonds is forged; all participants share in the guilt of murder! (story and 3 comments)

Ramos-Horta (left) and Reinado -- after recent jungle negotiations image The Hilton bombing and the Assassination of Alfredo Reinado barra, Friday, Feb 15 2008, 7:58am
‘What is this shit,’ is a common exclamatory remark Aussies are apt to make when confronted with an obvious farce, fabrication, con or ruse? The latest criminal bungle of Australian occupation forces in Timor-Leste almost matches the effort of the Hilton bombing in ’78 [see link.] (story and 1 image)

text Ramos-Horta: coma of convenience gan, Wednesday, Feb 13 2008, 10:13pm
Australia’s involvement in the assassination of Major Alfredo Reinado is indicated – according to some analysts -- by the prolonged induced coma of Jose Ramos-Horta. The president of Timor-Leste is perhaps the only person able to supply crucial information regarding events leading to the death of Major Reinado and his own wounding, YET an odd reluctance to obtain accurate information is becoming evident, particularly from the Australians, America’s proxy in the region!

text Timor-Leste: a broader view required dingo, Sunday, Feb 10 2008, 8:39pm
Labor PM, Kevin Rudd has announced his support for Morris Iemma’s huge energy infrastructure sell-off in NSW, a move that threatens huge job losses, quality control standards and price rises for services. But why should Rudd care, it was Rudd who stated that politics in today’s Australia is no longer a matter of ideology? Facility and expedition are the order of the day – but for whom? Big business does not place governments in power to have their interests thwarted, so it's full steam ahead for vested interests and a final goodbye to the last vestiges of the ALP as a people's party – rest in peace the once proud Labor movement of Australia!

Balkan connection -- Thaci, Jouchner, Gen. Jackson, Ceku, Gen. Clarke image Kosovo: illegal independence but at what price? goran, Sunday, Feb 10 2008, 10:29am
What price is the US and NATO willing to pay for supporting a flagrantly illegal secession in the Balkans? No one knows exactly but it‘s sure to be higher than anyone anticipated! Only the moronic Americans would support such an inflammatory move in this extremely volatile region – oil and gas pipelines notwithstanding. (story and 1 image)

text The ‘Timor Rift’ widens luis, Sunday, Feb 10 2008, 9:55am
Disgruntled freedom fighters led by Major Alfredo Reinado have attacked the symbolic head of Timor-Leste’s puppet government today. Turncoat president, Jose Ramos-Horta was shot twice during the attack, however, accurate reports of his condition are not available at this stage, though his condition is said to be critical. Puppet Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao has ‘assured’ western media the situation is ‘stable’ in view of the fact he was also targeted and attacked by freedom fighters! A bit less propaganda and a little more realistic, accurate reporting please!

Afghan poppy field image American Imperialism and the Symbiotic Narco Trade nano, Saturday, Feb 9 2008, 8:10am
A recent report alerting to the appearance of commercial quantities Afghan brown heroin in the far-away (from source) location of Adelaide, Australia, may indirectly assist American militarists and politicians understand why it is that NATO is reluctant to support the U.S. in further calamitous misadventures in the Middle East, Central Asia or anywhere else. It seems the world is no longer enamoured with the violent, brutish, simplistic, naive and INCOMPETENT leadership of the USA – Robert Gates, take note! (story and 2 comments and 2 images)

text Torture ‘logic’ USA gan, Wednesday, Feb 6 2008, 8:05am
This short piece is principally directed at Americans, as most people of the free world – approx. 99.99% of the planet’s population, understand torture as TORTURE! Torture remains illegal under international law but America has flouted international law and convention on so many occasions it is no surprise it attempts to justify the use of TORTURE today. Central Torture Agency image TORTURE! reed, Tuesday, Feb 5 2008, 10:47am
The CIA finally admits utilising torture on "three" separate occasions, give us a break! ‘Waterboarding,’ a euphemism for administered slow drowning, is not new to the USA. We can safely add at least two zeros to that hysterically absurd CIA figure. American Nazi torturers may have finally learnt what any good book on the subject or an interview with torture victims would have revealed -- ‘information extracted under torture conforms to the torturer's wishes!’ Accuracy has little bearing on information torturers wish to hear – though it is common for torturers to confuse wish-fulfilment with accuracy! text Israel faces future annihilation as Bush delivers ultimatum to Gulf States Mike Whitney via rialator, Monday, Feb 4 2008, 9:19am
Mike Whitney’s articles are always insightful and entertaining though some titles could do with a little modification. We are always happy for his work to be included in our “other press” section; however, his latest effort begs additional analysis. We would be pleased if he or others familiar with the subject would contribute additional information and pursue their analysis and deductions to logical conclusions.

An obvious question is why should Gulf States compromise their own economies and acquiesce to Bush’s ultimatum if Russian Naval and Air Power in the region are poised for action? Neither Israel nor the USA is in a position to declare war on the entire region. Any such action would inevitably involve Russia and China – so let’s hear it from the informed experts! Ed.

Bondsteel image Kosovo: justification for a retaliatory attack on the USA Michel Chossudovsky via reed, Sunday, Feb 3 2008, 8:14pm
While the European Union and the US, have acknowledged that they would be "opposed" to a " unilateral" declaration of independence of Kosovo, the secession of Kosovo from Serbia is already de facto. It is part of a US-NATO military agenda. It is the culmination of the 1999 NATO led invasion. It responds to US-NATO strategic objectives. (story and 2 images)

text Violence quin, Saturday, Feb 2 2008, 12:11pm
Violence has always been a problematic issue for humankind. The world is characterised by violence from storms/weather to the behaviour of microbes and large carnivores. However, the wanton violence of mankind is in a category all by itself. It is little wonder violence poses a major dilemma for all human societies.

text The Free World and America’s ‘Fort Apache’ mentality druze, Friday, Feb 1 2008, 12:25pm
Remember how the west was ‘won;’ slaughtering buffalo, the principal food supply of plains Indians, and establishing Forts to secure outposts in the ‘Indian territories?’ All those treaties, lies and slaughtered natives, one and half centuries ago; but expansionist methods haven’t changed an iota. Welcome to Fort Bondsteel in Kosovo and hundreds of other American bases throughout the world!
