China, Russia, Iran are Dumping the Dollar
Bob Chapman via fleet, Sunday, Nov 21 2010, 10:03pm
Something is going on that your government does not want you to know about. Very few journalists have written about it and little or nothing has appeared in the mainstream media. The story could be one of the major stories of our time.

The Federal Reserve and the Pathology of Power
charles hugh smith via stan, Saturday, Nov 20 2010, 5:35pm
The Federal Reserve is an example not just of run-of-the-mill hubris but of the far more profound Pathology of Power. The rule of law has been supplanted in the U.S. by self-serving propaganda campaigns serving State and financial Elites: this is the Pathology of Power. The Federal Reserve is an instructive example because it is so blatant.

A Measure of American Subservience and Slavery
stele, Friday, Nov 19 2010, 10:21pm
Perhaps in its blind desire for ever more profits and less resistance, Corporate ruled America has crossed the line of tolerance – but we think not, as it is plain for the world to see that there is no limit to American servility and no slave like an American slave -- pathetic! (story and 1 image)

Derivations of Rumi
wisp, Monday, Nov 15 2010, 8:22pm
Few in the world today are aware that the world's most sublime, mystic love poet fared from Afghanistan. Yes, Jalaludin Rumi was born in Baktria. I am wondering what claim murdering Americans can make, aside from the most heinous and barbaric criminal acts known to civilised society. (story and 1 comment)

The Stench of American Hypocrisy
Paul Craig Roberts via reed, Monday, Nov 15 2010, 5:44pm
"The list of criminal actions by presidents Bush and Obama, Vice President Cheney, the CIA, the NSA, the US military, and other branches of the government is long and growing. For example, both president Bush and vice president Cheney violated US and international laws against torture. Amnesty International and the American Civil Liberties Union responded to Bush’s recent admission that he authorized torture with calls for a criminal investigation of Bush’s crime." WikiLeaks is Not about One Person
stylus, Friday, Nov 12 2010, 6:23pm
And the first person to agree would be Julian Assange -- who, incidentally, has made the short list for TIME magazine's most influential person of 2010.
Truth and full disclosure are about making it very difficulty for criminals in high places to function and deceive the population -- in other words WikiLeaks servers the interests of a healthy, DEMOCRATIC society. Those that oppose WikiLeaks should be watched very carefully indeed, as they are clearly CORRUPT and/or involved in CRIMINAL activity -- it really is that simple, Jethro!

Obama: A servant of big business
Patrick Martin via gan, Wednesday, Nov 10 2010, 6:29pm
"To describe Obama as chastened by defeat would be an exaggeration, since it might suggest that before the election he had been engaged in an aggressive campaign against his opponents. He was low-key, conciliatory and, above all, prostrate before corporate America, whose servant he is." (story and 1 comment and 1 image)
