Merkel, fully cognisant of the pipeline corridor/energy wars raging at present, responded with criticism of Russia’s actions in Georgia. She accused Russia of a “disproportionate” response to the unprovoked western-backed attack on innocent civilians in South Ossetia! Events relating to the questionable competence and integrity of Bankers, Financiers, Corporate CEOs and the muted reaction of the American public this week are astounding to say the least. Only a few weeks ago President George ‘Milton’ Bush and Republican presidential candidate, John ‘bomb bomb’ McCain, were extolling the virtues of the American economy and the free market system; both men constantly repeated a mantra claiming the American economy is “fundamentally strong!” However, in a matter of DAYS the ‘strong’ economy SUDDENLY became the ‘dire crisis’ economy; it is now beyond any argument that our current batch of politicians are clueless -- what day is it, gentlemen? It seems ‘polly’ is required to parrot new lines for her cracker this week!

To say the market was surprised by the House’s rejection of the ‘bailout’ proposal on Monday would be putting it mildly; however, BIG Finance and BIG Banking were NOT surprised one bit! Even more surprising was the fact that Republicans (GOP) were largely responsible for the rejection of the Bill! You know them, ‘God is the free market!’ One could become a cynic overnight faced with such inversions and ideological backflips; however, a careful approach and focused eye reveals much. Globalisation is not new it has been practised by European and Muslim Imperial powers for centuries. The African slave trade is perhaps the earliest example of economic globalisation. This dastardly trade was characterised by a number of separate nations and cultures cooperating to supply a valuable ‘resource’ around the globe – human beings commodified as SLAVE labour! Paulson is in charge now, and the coronation is set for sometime early next week. He rose to power in a stealthily-executed Bankster's Coup in which he, and his coterie of dodgy friends, declared martial law on the US economy while elevating himself to supreme leader. Seven years into George W. Bush's Global War on Terror, the Pentagon is embroiled in two big wars, a potentially explosive war of words with Tehran, and numerous smaller conflicts – and it is leaning ever more heavily on private military contractors to get by.
Once upon a time, soldiers did more than pick up a gun. They picked up trash. They cut hair and delivered mail. They fixed airplanes and inflated truck tires. Not anymore. All of those tasks are now the responsibility of private military corporations. In the service of the Pentagon, their employees also man computers, write software code, create integrating systems, train technicians, manufacture and service high-tech weapons, market munitions, and interpret satellite images.
